It is a real honour to welcome everyone back for another exciting season at Oxford Quins, and a particular privilege for me as the club’s first-ever Women’s Chair Women’s rugby is going from strength to strength globally, and with the Women’s Rugby World Cup currently under way, there is no better time to be part of the game.
On the pitch, it promises to be a thrilling season across the board. Our Men’s 1st XV continue to hold their place in National 2, the Women’s 1st XV celebrate a fantastic promotion, the Men’s 2nd XV secured promotion last season, and our 3rd XV are knocking firmly on the door for theirs. Alongside this, our Minis & Juniors section and Academy are thriving, with nearly 400 members – boys and girls – enjoying their rugby journey here at Quins
Off the pitch, there are equally exciting developments. Thanks to a £10,000 grant from the RFU Impact 25 programme, we ’ ve made significant upgrades to the clubhouse: a fresh coat of paint, new lighting, a deep-cleaned floor, updated furniture, and a brandnew kitchen. These improvements allow us to host a wide variety of events, including corporate days, training workshops, parties, wakes, and even weddings.
It’s an incredibly exciting time as the club continues to grow, diversify, and open up new revenue streams to support the future of Quins rugby Thank you for being part of this journey –together we are building something very special.
