MANAGEMENT PROGRAM UPDATE
The Management faculty were tasked with re-imagining the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management concentration this year In support of this effort, the college supported Dr Xiaodan Zeng in attending the Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators Hosted by Babson College, the nation’s leading school in entrepreneurship, the symposium is an intensive week-long workshop where educators learn best practices and teaching methods through action-based learning. Dr. Zeng’s experience brought valuable new insights to bear on the Entrepreneurship program. As a result faculty developed and introduced bold revisions to the curriculum to better address the needs of students in the program These revisions included the development of several new courses designed to better prepare students in important areas of entrepreneurship, including conception and funding of new ventures. In addition, a new project-based capstone class will allow students to learn from experiential projects and cases.
