NEW THIS YEAR! EMERGING LEADER SERIES

The CoB launched an Emerging Leaders Series in response to the needs of our business community.

The Emerging Leaders Series is an opportunity for companies to invest in their employees and prepare their current and future leaders. The year-long, fivemodule series, developed by faculty member, Dr. Tonya Crombie, helps companies build a stronger, positive culture, and improve retention of good employees. Each module consists of two days focused on developing a variety of leadership skills. The program is supported by alums Tom and Jane Akers as well as the CoB. Mr. and Mrs. Akers and the CoB provided fellowships to support participation of Southeastern faculty, students, and staff, as well as a member of the alumni advisory council, and a small business owner. Dr. Wainwright welcomed the 2023 class of participants who represented Claymar Construction, Jani-King Gulf Coast, Elmer's, LouisianaCat, Louisiana Special Olympics, and Cory Tucker & Larowe, among others.
