CELEBRATING EXTENSION OF AACSB ACCREDITATION

AACSB accreditation is the most respected accreditation for colleges of business across the globe. Only 194 institutions in the world have both AACSB business accreditation and separate AACSB accreditation of their accounting program. Southeastern's College of Business recently participated in a rigorous review by AACSB and earned top marks resulting in continued extension of its AACSB Accreditation for both business programs and the accounting program. The review involved an on-site visit by the AACSB Peer Review Team who held meetings with faculty, students, alumni, and community stakeholders. The college was evaluated based on a set of standards related to criteria such as strategic management, innovation, teaching, learning, and placement of students, and engagement of faculty, staff, and students

According to Stephanie M Bryant, AACSB global executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB, “every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning. The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education.” AACSB review occurs every five years to ensure continuous improvement.
