THE UNIVERSITY WELCOMES NEW PRESIDENT,

DR. WILLIAM WAINWRIGHT

At the end of this academic year, the campus welcomed its 15th president, Dr. William Wainwright. Dr. Wainwright outlined several goals of his presidency, including open communication between administration and the SLU community, growing the university budget, and increasing diversity among students and faculty. He embraces his role as an advocate for all aspects of Southeastern.

Before being appointed as Southeastern's president, Wainwright served over 20 years within the Northshore’s higher education system, most recently serving as Chancellor of Northshore Technical Community College. Dr. Wainwright has also been deeply involved in professional and community organizations

Dr Wainwright's wife, Misty, is eager to be a part of the university community They have a daughter, Ella Grace, and a son, Zachary.
