WHAT WILL BE YOUR LEGACY?

OKLAHOMA

At the University of Oklahoma, excellence isn’t just found in our classrooms. Excellence is in our state-of-the-art research labs, our playing fields and the champions who fill them, and the people who make up the OU Family. We believe there is only one Oklahoma, where one is you — full of potential, ready to be tested, shaped, and seen. One is our campus — which will serve as a launchpad, your home away from home, and a mirror that shows you not just who you’ve been, but who you’re going to become. One turns potential into transformation, allowing you to capture the endless opportunities only Oklahoma provides.

Through internships, research, hands-on learning, and robust student life, OU students earn more than just a degree. They graduate with prototypes, published articles, robust resumes, industry connections, and more. Plus, with an 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio, 500+ student life organizations, and 100+ programs in 50+ countries for study abroad, OU students are equipped to be world-changing global citizens. I absolutely love the community here at the University of Oklahoma! When I was looking into colleges, it was important for me to have the experience of a large university while also the community of a close-knit college. OU has given me the experience of large athletic events like football games while also giving me access to a more personal experience in my academics. I have been able to get to know my professors make close friends on campus , and create a home away from home in Norman.

YOUR OU JOURNEY BEGINS HERE

Apply early to receive priority consideration for financial aid, scholarships, and housing options!

We consider four factors when we admit students:

Academic rigor, including GPA, ACT/SAT/CLT score (encouraged), course rigor, and class rank

Leadership experience, community involvement, etc .

Writing and self-expression measured through an essay

Letters of recommendation (optional)

The University of Oklahoma practices a test-optional admissions policy, meaning students do not need a test score to be considered for admission and scholarships. We encourage applicants to submit a test score to ensure accurate course placement and maximize scholarship opportunities. If students choose to apply with test scores, the scores will be used as part of the admission decision process. Visit go2.ou.edu/test-optional to learn more.

OU accepts superscores and self-reported test scores for admission and scholarship consideration. Self-reported scores will be verified prior to enrollment. Read our FAQ at go2.ou.edu/test-scores for more information.
