Overall, OU enrolls more than 31,000 students, has more than 2,700 full-time faculty members and has 21 colleges offering more than 170 majors at the baccalaureate level and more than 260 master’s and doctoral-level majors.

OU’s students represent 136 countries, including a significant student body from India. With Indian nationals from a wide variety of countries, Indians represent our third-largest international student population. Our students are involved across campus in various academic and extracurricular organizations to develop their skills and share their cultures. Some of these include the Indian Student Association, International Advisory Committee, and the Undergraduate India Society.

• OU is Test-Optional (SAT, ACT, or CLT scores not required for admission).

COSTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
OU Scholarship Opportunities: The University of Oklahoma offers scholarships to admitted students who apply Test- Optional, and to those who have qualified SAT or ACT exam scores as listed. We also are pleased to announce an additional scholarship for firstyear (freshman) students for fall 2026. This award is $7,500 per year, with a total value of $30,000 over four years. Additionally, the scholarship may be used in conjunction with any other merit scholarships (like those listed below) for which an applicant qualifies, up to the full cost of non-resident tuition (approximately $18,000 annually*).

The main reason I chose the University of Oklahoma is because it aligned with my academic interests as well as its welcoming environment towards international students. Being a Biomedical Engineering major, research opportunities were important for me, and OU offers plenty of them. My professors are extremely approachable and have regular office hours to assist students.
