The best way to describe my OU experience is just through the word ‘whole.’ Before coming to OU, I was filled with anxiety about the future and the stress of being 1,600 miles from home. After my first week on campus, my anxiety subsided. My new friends, the new food options, and my incredible classes all helped fill the hole I had in my chest when I thought about the future. As the semester progressed, my friends and I had game nights, played on intramural soccer teams, attended late-night study sessions, and went to Friday night swing dancing. The new experiences and the community we formed made my heart feel whole. There were no traces of anxiety about the future because I was so content living in the moment with those surrounding me.”
