High school seniors admitted to OU can also apply for competitive programs like OU’s Pre-Law Scholars Program and Medical Humanities Scholars Program through the Honors College application. The deadline to apply for these programs is Jan. 15, and we strongly recommend students apply to OU before Dec. 1 in order to receive acceptance and be able to access the Honors College Application.
OU’s Medical Humanities Scholars Program is a highly selective, sequential B.A./M.D. program. Selected students (up to eight per year) pursue a liberal arts education focused on medicine and society while fulfilling their pre-medical requirements. Upon admission into the program, students receive provisional acceptance to OU’s College of Medicine, contingent upon their GPA and MCAT scores. Learn more at go2.ou.edu/mhsp.
A limited number of students (up to 25 per year) will be selected to join OU’s Pre-Law Scholars Program before their enrollment as undergraduates at OU. The Pre-Law Scholars Program will allow Honors College students to complete both a bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor at OU in six years. Learn more at go2.ou.edu/plsp.

OU places a great emphasis on global education, and our Honors at Oxford summer program is legendary. We also have a specialized advisor for nationally competitive scholarships, some of which involve international study, such as the British Marshall Scholarship, the Rhodes Scholarship, the Mitchell Scholarship, and the National Security Education Program Scholarship.
The Honors College was a transformative part of my OU experience and I can’t imagine my four years without it. I gained invaluable access to research, smaller class sizes, met countless friends and professors, and was offered leadership experiences I am incredibly grateful for. The Honors College opened countless doors for me throughout my undergraduate years, and I believe it truly brings out the best of our potential.”
