The first of its kind in the region, the Engineering Pathways Program sets a new standard for engineering education. Led by nationally recognized experts in outreach, recruitment, and retention, our team is committed to building a stronger, more diverse engineering community. From early engagement through the undergraduate experience, the Engineering Pathways team encourages students along their engineering journey.

Throughout students’ educational journey, OU Engineering has embedded project-based learning and teamwork into courses beginning in the first year. OU Engineering is built upon the idea that everyone, from faculty and staff to your peers, is here to help everyone succeed. We encourage students to ask questions, build their community at OU, and tackle real-world challenges.

The Engineering Quad is designed to help students connect with other engineers while building support structures and professional networks. Here, student success happens both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s in the state-of-theart facilities such as Gallogly Hall, home to the Engineering Learning Center and worldclass biomedical research labs, the ExxonMobil Lawrence G. Rawl Practice Facility, where students gain hands-on experience by participating and competing in student teams, or the numerous study spaces and premier computer labs, students are given the tools they need to succeed.

The Gallogly College of Engineering is here to help you succeed in your education and your career. Career Development for Engineers and Scientists (CDES) brings together leadership development, campus and career connections, and workplace readiness into one dedicated resource for engineering and science students. The college also hosts two annual career fairs — the fall Engineering Job and Internship Fair and the spring Oklahoma Futures Fair. Here, employers from across the country come to discuss internships and career opportunities. Typically, students are able to secure interviews with several employers in a single day.
