Tres Allison (Hennessey/Captain) is so excited to be returning to Otterbein Summer Theatre! You may have seen him last year as “Jinx” in Forever Plaid. Additionally, you may have seen him as “Franklin Hart, Jr.” in 9 to 5, “Algernon” in The Importance of Being Earnest, and you can catch him playing “Officer Barrel” in Otterbein’s upcoming production of Urinetown! Meagan Astwood (Mona Kent) is so grateful to be making both her professional and Otterbein debut in Dames! She is a rising sophomore BFA Musical Theatre major and Marketing minor from San Antonio, TX. You might have just seen her in [title of show] (Heidi) at Otterbein’s first one act performance. Previous credits include Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), The Pirate Queen (Grace O’Malley), and The Addams Family (Morticia Addams). Meagan could not be more grateful to this entire cast and creative team for making this show one she will never forget. She would like to thank her incredible parents for being her number one support system throughout her life and giving her the possibility to make her wildest dreams come true.
Halle Audette (Joan) is a rising senior Musical Theatre major with minors in Dance and Exercise Science from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Earlier this summer, she choreographed Always… Patsy Cline and directed [Title of Show] for One by One: An Evening of One Acts right here on the Cowan stage! Thank you to Lenny, Elizabeth, and OST’s wonderful audiences for supporting her dreams of both creating and performing musical theatre. Her Otterbein credits include Footloose (Betty Blast/US Ariel), Natasha, Pierre… (Princess Mary/Guitar), 9 to 5 (Ensemble), Dance 2023: Escape to Wonderland (Queen of Hearts),Cabaret (Lulu), Bright Star (Spirit), and Dance 2022: Find Me in The Shadows (The Mistress). Will Iannitelli (Dick) is a rising junior Musical Theater major with minors in Dance and Exercise Science. He’s from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and he’s so excited to wrap up his performances this summer with Dames at Sea! His most recent Otterbein shows include Great Comet… (Guitar Ensemble), Footloose (Chuck Cranston), and earlier in this season of OST he played Jim in The Glass Menagerie and Hunter in [title of show]. He will be performing in American Idiot this fall at Short North Stage, a show he’s beyond thrilled to be a part of. He would like to thank his family for their endless support, and his incredible cast and crew for putting this show together. Josh Jaffe (Lucky) is an upcoming junior BFA Musical Theater major and Dance minor. He is thrilled to be making his Otterbein Summer Theatre debut! You may have previously seen him in Otterbein Summer Theatre’s [title of show] (Larry/Music Director), or Otterbein’s production of Footloose (Lyle, Willard u/s), 9 to 5! (Tinsworthy/Ensemble), or music directing a variety of student works through Otterbein’s 11th Hour Theatre. He would like to thank his friends, family, Matt, and especially his mom for their endless support. Enjoy the show!
Mark Mineart (Director) has appeared on Broadway with such stars as Denzel Washington and Kelsey Grammar, and worked at many of the nation’s most well-respected regional theatres. He has been blessed to portray many of the great characters of western theatre: Cyrano de Bergerac, Macbeth, Cassius in Julius Caesar, Long John Silver, Lennie in Of Mice & Men, and George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, amongst others. He has created roles in almost a dozen world premiere productions by such playwrights as Jane Martin, Eric Cobble, and Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner Arthur Kopit. Mark relocated to Frankfurt, Germany in 2009 where he appeared in such films as What A Man and Iron Sky, in addition to working as a performance capture artist for blockbuster video games such as Crysis II, Bullet Storm, and NCIS: The Game. In 2011, Mark shifted his primary focus to teaching, serving as Head of Acting at The American University in Cairo. His first production, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, was heralded as “a valuable and long overdue contribution to theatre in the Middle East,” by Al Ahlam Weekly (the national newspaper of Egypt). Mark left Egypt in 2015 to join the Otterbein Department of Theatre and Dance, where he has directed Is He Dead?, Damn Yankees, Diary of Anne Frank, The Tragedy of Macbeth, School for Scandal, Tempest, Something Rotten!, The Great Influencer (by Otterbein’s own Jeremy Llorence), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and most recently, The Importance of Being Earnest. On his recent sabbatical, Mark directed the European premiere of the political satire The Totalitarians for the English Theatre of Frankfurt, the largest English-speaking theatre in Europe. Dennis Davenport (Music Director/Pianist) is a Professor of Music at Otterbein. In 202526 he begins a new university role as Chair of Integrative Studies (the general education core program at Otterbein). He teaches in the BFA Musical Theatre program and in the First Year Experience, Honors, and Senior Year Experience programs. Earlier this summer he led the band for Always, Patsy Cline. Recent music direction includes I Do! I Do!, Baby, Pirates of Penzance, Forever Plaid and Beehive for Otterbein Summer Theatre, and The Pajama Game and Cabaret for Otterbein Theatre.
Anna Elliott (Choreographer) Born and raised in Ohio, Anna began studying dance at age of 3. Growing up, she was a competitive dancer where she won many local and national awards. She has extensive training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Musical Theater. During her professional career, Anna became a Radio City Rockette at the age of 18. She was fortunate enough to be a part of this legendary group of women for 8 years. While with the Rockettes she performed on the Today Show, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, The Rachel Ray Show, the Nate Berkus Show. Anna performed in many other televised appearances locally and nationally as a Rockette. She was a part of many commercials for the Radio City Christmas Show and you can find her in the 75th Celebration Edition book titled, “Radio City Spectacular.” Anna was also a part of the ensemble in the First National Broadway Tour of 42nd Street, choreographed by Randy Skinner, and performed in many theaters across the country. Currently, Anna is a member of the dance faculty at Otterbein University where she teaches tap, jazz and ballet. She has had the honor of being a part of the very well-known department of theater and dance since 2013. As a faculty member, she has choreographed for dance concerts Move Me and Gloriously Grimm, and Escape to Wonderland. She was the Associate Choreographer next to Stella Hiatt Kane for Otterbein’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie and Singin in the Rain. Both of them were awarded “Broadway World’s Best Choreography of the Decade” on the educational platform for their work done in Millie. She just recently choreographed Otterbein’s big hit production of Footloose. Other choreography credits include Westerville’s Civic Children’s Theater: Lion King Jr, Aladdin Jr, Alice and Wonderland, and Junie B. Jones, as well as Westerville South’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. She is also an award-winning choreographer in the competitive dance world and has been recognized nationally for her work. Rob Johnson (Scenic Designer) is back at Otterbein Summer Theatre after retiring several years ago. He holds two master’s degrees (from West Virginia University and The Ohio State University) and was the resident Otterbein faculty scenic designer for 34 years, arriving in 1987. Rob has won numerous Ezekiel Design awards and designed many memorable shows at Otterbein. His long career as a freelance designer for professional and academic companies has included designs for theatre, opera, dance, corporate events, and even an elaborate home theatre for a wealthy patron of the arts! Rob thanks his savior Jesus Christ for a wonderful family and a wonderful career, and for the opportunity to be back working with students and colleagues this summer.
Camille Lerner (Costume Designer) is thrilled to be making her design debut at Otterbein Summer Theatre. An Ohio native, Camille’s work has been seen across the country, and she’s very excited to have her work so close to home. She would like to thank family, friends, and fiancé for all the support, and hopes you enjoy the show!
Kyle Krygielski (Lighting Designer) is a freelance Lighting Designer based in Columbus, OH, and is thrilled to be returning to another Season of OST after designing Forever Plaid, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Beehive last season. Other Otterbein credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Baby, Our Town, The School for Scandal and Dance Concert 2019. Regional Credits include Assistant Lighting Designer for Mary Zimmerman’s The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci (Washington D.C.) Kyle has worked with local companies including Ballet Met, Mills James, Short North Stage, and several local high schools. Jesse Charles (Sound Designer) Born from a love of music, Jesse developed an interest in audio production. In high school, Jesse experimented with and learned how to use the school’s audio equipment. Following an internship at WOSU, Jesse earned a certificate from The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH. Since then, he has freelanced all over Columbus, Ohio, working for Vaud-Villities, Imagine Productions, Actor’s Theatre (Shakespeare In The Park), The Kings Avenue Players, Redd Herring Productions, CCT, and The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio.
Savanah Schwartz (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back for a second season at OST! She is an incoming senior BFA Stage Management major at Millikin University in Decatur, IL. Previous Professional credits include Stage Manager for Always…Patsy Cline (OST 2025) Beehive: the 60s Musical & Forever Plaid (OST 2024). Other select credits include Stage Manager for Joseph… Dreamcoat and ASM for Zombie Prom, & Elf: The Musical (Millikin University), Stage Manager for 25th…Spelling Bee, and Director for The Grown Ups (Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre). Elizabeth Saltzgiver (Managing Director) is celebrating her 25th year with Otterbein University Theatre & Dance in July. While the years have flown by, she is overwhelmed by the number of people she has had the good fortune to meet at the theater and to work with here at Otterbein. Her experience in Arts Administration includes work for the Ohio Arts Council, dhc productions, the Westerville Symphony, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Ohio Light Opera, Ashland University College of Arts and Sciences, and the Ashland Balloon Fest. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Music and Business from Otterbein University and is currently Treasurer for the Columbus Arts Marketing Association. Thank you for your continued support of the arts and, especially, Otterbein Summer Theatre.
Hannah Hahn (Production Manager) joined the Theatre & Dance faculty/staff in the fall of 2022 as the Production Manager and Stage Management Mentor. She teaches and mentors student stage managers along with production-related duties. Hannah’s most recent local stage management credits include: The Importance of Being Earnest (Otterbein), Skeleton Crew (The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio), Rigoletto (Opera Columbus), and I Do! I Do! (Otterbein Summer Theatre). Additionally, Hannah stage manages the CAPA Marquee Awards Showcase each year – a Columbus-based theatre education program that feeds into the national Jimmy Awards for high school students. She has worked with the program in many capacities since its inaugural year in 2019. She enjoys teaching and sharing her experiences as a stage manager through workshops and Thespy adjudication at various state Thespian Festivals and International Thespian Festival each year. You might even catch her as a CAPA House Manager at the Riffe Center Theatre Complex or the historic Southern Theatre. Olivia Rossi (Technical Director) is very excited to be returning to the small peaceful village of Westerville for this OST season. After graduating from Otterbein in 2024 with her BFA in Theatre Design and Technology, Rossi has been sharing her love of theatre with the jaguars of Hilliard Bradley High School as their Tech Director. Some of her previous Otterbein credits include tech directing the 2023 production of Everybody and assistant tech directing 9 to 5 (2024) and Bright Star (2023.) JT Baniak (Carpenter) is a fourth year Theatre Major attending The Ohio State University. He has been doing theatre for most of his life and has worked on sets for a number of different shows and companies. He is so excited to be working with Otterbein for the summer!
Cami Borders (Company Manager & Box Office Manager) is a rising senior from Bexley, OH. She is an English and History double major and has worked in the Otterbein Box Office since her freshman year. She has had a lifelong passion for theatre and is excited to be involved in Otterbein Summer Theatre. She wants to thank her parents, friends, and Elizabeth for all of their support! Dean Buford (Technical Apprentice: Scenery/Paints/Props) This is Dean’s first summer at OST. He is going into his sophomore year at Otterbein this fall and is very excited to contribute to such an excellent theatre.
Kevin Campbell II (Technical Apprentice: Lighting & Sound/Spot Light Operator) is a fourth-year theatre major at The Ohio State University. He is from Canton, Ohio and specializes in lighting design.
Simone Gelety (Assistant to the Choreographer) is a BFA Acting major, Dance minor from Tucson AZ. They would like to congratulate this talented cast and crew for all of their great work! Simone is extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn from and work alongside Anna Elliott. This summer, they directed Suppressed Desires for OST’s show, One by One: An Evening of One Acts. You may have seen them in The Laramie Project (Track 7). Last fall, Simone co-directed and choreographed 11th Hour’s Dance Concert: Dances on Love with Jane Cook. Past dance credits include Dance 2023: Escape to Wonderland (Cheshire Cat) Cabaret (Fritzie/Dance Captain), Dance 2022: Find Me in the Shadows (Child Shadow), and 9 to 5 (Ensemble). They would like to thank their friends and family for all of their support, and Melody for all of her love and grounding pep talks. You can see Simone’s next directing project this fall in the Pit Theatre!
Maggie Glanc (Front of House Manager) is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and is excited to take part in her third Otterbein Summer Theatre season! Maggie just graduated from Otterbein this past May with a degree in AYA Integrated Social Studies. She hopes to work in her own high school or middle school social studies classroom in the fall. When Maggie is not working or job-searching, she can be found crocheting, spending time with family, watching horror movies, and more. Lastly, she is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of OST this summer and would like to thank Elizabeth for her constant support and encouragement. She would also like to thank her Papa Ray, who she misses dearly, for sharing his love for theatre with her and allowing her to be where she is today!
Allison Hunter (Administrative Assistant) has dabbled in almost every corner of theatre she could since middle school, starting out as a performer and eventually landing backstage as a technician and stage manager. She is very excited to add a new role to that list as Otterbein’s new Theatre & Dance Administrator. Thank you for supporting the arts, and enjoy the show!
Dani Kirkham (Carpenter) is a current Otterbein student. They will graduate in 2028. They were recently Assistant Properties Lead for Otterbein’s The Laramie Project as well as a Carpenter for Footloose. Stephen O’Hara (Lead Electrician) is thrilled to be back for his second season with Otterbein Summer Theatre. Originally from the Cincinnati, OH area, Stephen is a junior BFA Design/Technology major at Otterbein. His Otterbein credits include Footloose, The Laramie Project, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, The Importance of Being Earnest, 9 to 5, and Cabaret. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys true crime podcasts, cooking, and curling up with a good book. All my love as always to Mom, Dad and Chaz.
River Perry (Sound A1) is an audio technician and designer with a BFA in technical theater from Marietta College. He has also been training in lighting design and engineering, voice acting, and fiction writing. He gives thanks to his mom, his dog, and his mentors for pushing him to be the best version of himself possible.
Helen Sminkey (Technincal Apprentice) is a rising sophomore Design/Technology major from Elgin, OK. This is her first summer working for OST, but has previously worked on productions at Otterbein: The Laramie Project, and Footloose. Helen is extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work for OST this summer. She is having a lot of fun working with her friends and spending the summer making theatre. Gail Sparks (Assistant Stage Manager) has previously ASM’d The Laramie Project and Always...Patsy Cline. One of Gail’s favorite moments from rehearsal was when plungers were used as rehearsal props for the mops in “Dames at Sea” (the song).
Krista Lively Stauffer (Intimacy Director) an Otterbein Theatre graduate is an Actor, Coach, Director, Producer, Casting Director, Production Assistant, and Intimacy Choreographer. She has performed professionally with Short North Stage, CATCO, Available Light Theatre, CCT, as well as in several films, commercials, and industrials. She is represented by Heyman Talent, Wink Talent in Michigan, and The Talent Group in Pittsburgh. Krista teaches privately in her studio for all ages of actors. Up next, she is traveling the nation with What I Didn’t Say (The Parkinson’s Play).
Vivian Steele (Costume Shop Assistant) is a rising sophomore in the Design & Technology theatre program at Otterbein with a focus in costume design and construction. When she’s not sewing or sketching, she can be found looking for trinkets, lurking on letterboxd, and squirreling away stickers for her junk journal. Restrooms are located both on the ground level and in the basement of Cowan Hall. Additional restrooms are available across the street in Roush Hall.
