How are you? Early in the year we hear a lot of COVID-19 outbreaks that began at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan-China. That the spread of this virus has increased the emergency status by WHO for all countries in the world to immediately take very measured steps to overcome its spread. The impact of the outbreak was very strong on the decline in global economic activity and raised waves of concern for the world community.

Let us pray together that Governments through relevant institutions are given the wisdom and strength to find solutions to stop the spread of this epidemic, to produce vaccines and / or medicines for people affected by infection. In the other aspect that is affected, it is clear that we see that things merge in ways that cannot be controlled, values and norms change quickly, what was considered wrong in the past can be true today.

We must understand the situation and realize that we have been conceived in Christ, and all creatures (this world) are waiting for the revelation and answers of God's children.

What moves the world / people to be like this? Crisis, new technology, greed, fear, arrogance (pride) and power / control. But the righteous are moved by; Love, Joy, Peace and Freedom in Christ. That is what should move humans in all aspects of their lives.

What about us who know that there is no such thing as coincidence, what should we do?

Proverbs 22: 3 says that a wise person seeing hardship comes immediately preparing himself.

Whatever we experience now prepare ourselves, prepare our business because the year when God overflows us with various opportunities and opportunities will always come.

Finalize our financial strategy in these unexpected times facing uncertainty.

Get rid of all the burdens and sins that are so overwhelming to us, experience close fellowship with God and ask for His wisdom and guidance.

NATIONAL BOARD ACTIVITIES Sebagian National Board mengadakan pertemuan pada hari Sabtu tanggal 15 Februari 2020 yang lalu untuk membicarakan Follow-up dari hasil kunjungan Pak Hendro Tjahjono ke Israel dan kunjungan Calev Myers ke Indonesia Calev Myers adalah President and Executive Chairman, ARISE (Alliance to Reinforce Israel’s Security and Economy) www.ariseforisrael.com Kemungkinan besar bagi ICCC Indonesia untuk memfasilitasi pertemuan antara Calev Myers dengan para pebisnis yang berminat untuk membina hubungan bisnis dengan perusahaan-perusahaan Israel, Mengingat Israel sangat advanced dalam technology. Adapun waktunya sekitar bulan Juni 2020.

3 Legendary Christian Heroes in Business Published by Darren Shearer In a sermon I heard recently, the preacher began to list the “great Christian heroes” of the Church: Billy Graham, Billy Sunday, Kathryn Kuhlman, D.L. Moody, Hudson Taylor… Yes, they are my heroes, too. But, as usual, they all had two things in common: 1) they were all preachers, and 2) none of them worked in for-profit companies.

As humans, we aim to become like our heroes, the people we aim to emulate in some way. It makes sense that a preacher’s primary heroes would be other preachers. However, we must stop subtly communicating that fleeing the marketplace is a necessary step toward Christian heroism.

As the Church, have we esteemed the spiritual gifts and callings of preachers and preaching missionaries to an extent that, when we think of “Christian heroes,” none of our brothers or sisters in the marketplace come to mind? This is especially troubling considering that 85% of the Christian workforce works in a for-profit company.

Why is it that the names of Christian business professionals seldom appear on our lists of Church heroes? I’ll assume that one of those reasons is that most of us simply can’t think of any Christian heroes from the marketplace.

So, allow me to introduce three Christian heroes from the marketplace who have made a tremendous impact for the glory of God in recent history.

1. R.G. LeTourneau: Inventor and Disciple-Maker Having already achieved success in the earthmoving business, R.G. LeTourneau explained to his pastor that he felt he could serve God better as a bona-fide pastor or missionary overseas. His pastor wisely responded, “God needs businessmen, too.”

Sensing the call to become “God’s businessman,” LeTourneau decided to use his God-given gift of innovation in the marketplace. He achieved 299 patents for his earth-moving and materials handling equipment. These inventions included the bulldozer, scrapers, portable cranes, rollers, dump wagons, bridge spans, logging equipment, mobile sea platforms for oil exploration, the electric wheel, and many others. Approximately 70% of the earth-moving equipment used by the Allies to win World War II was manufactured by his company.

LaTourneau was committed to using his business as a tool for making disciples of Jesus. He hired full-time chaplains to work in his factories, caring for his workers and teaching the Bible to them. He admonished his fellow business owners, “Unless we businessmen… testify that Christianity is the driving power of our business, you’ll always have doubters claiming that religion is all talk and no production.”

In addition to making disciples of Jesus through his business, using his spiritual gift of creativity, and adding tremendous value to the U.S. economy even in the midst of the Great Depression, LeTourneau habitually and cheerfully gave away 90 percent of his income toward the advancement of the gospel.

2. Mary K. Ash: Saleswoman and Encourager According to Lifetime Television, Mary K. Ash (1918-2001), founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, was the “Most Outstanding Woman in Business in the 20th Century.” As of 2014, her company had approximately three million sales consultants and wholesale volume in excess of $3 billion.

Prior to starting Mary Kay Cosmetics, she spent 25 years working in a sales position in corporate America. During that time, she was repeatedly refused promotions and pay raises that the men were getting.

In response to the unjust way in which she and other women were being treated in the marketplace, she decided to start a company that would encourage women to achieve their fullest potential. She said, “If you ask me, ‘What is the common denominator among women?’… it is the fact that most of us, most women, don’t believe in their own God-given ability. So what we do is try to show them how great they really are.”

She credited the success of her company to its decision to “take God as our partner.” She based her founding principle on the Golden Rule: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Luke 6:31). She redefined business terms like “P&L” to mean “people and love.” She taught her sales consultants to keep “God first, family second, career third.”

3. John Wanamaker: Advertiser and Evangelist 6

John Wanamaker (1838-1922) is considered the “Father of Modern Advertising.” He once was asked, “To what, Mr. Wanamaker, do you attribute your great success?”

Wanamaker replied, “To thinking, toiling, trying, and trusting in God.” Among his many innovations, he opened the world’s first major department store. He introduced price tags to the retail economy because he didn’t want people to worry about whether or not they were getting fair prices while they shopped. In addition, he started the first mail-order catalog and was the first to run a large advertisement in a newspaper.

Committed to taking care of his people as a reflection of the character of Jesus, Wanamaker was a pioneer in employee benefits programs. Long before these programs were considered standard in corporate employment, his company offered its employees access to the John Wanamaker Commercial Institute, free medical care, recreational facilities, profit-sharing plans, and pensions.

Deeply committed to personal evangelism, he hand-copied evangelistic letters for each member of his large Sunday School class that said, “If you are not saved, my dear friend, flee to the merciful Savior as you would fly into this warm room tonight, out of the cold streets and the drifting snow.

If you are saved, humbly trusting in what Jesus did when his loved failed not on the Cross, think of others not saved… NOT SAVED… going to the eternal darkness—your near friend, your relative—and do something!”

He once sponsored an evangelistic service for D.L. Moody in his own store and provided 300 ushers from among his own staff to make sure the event was a success.

Wanamaker, Ash, and LaTourneau are only a few of the Church’s “great Christian heroes” from the marketplace.

International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) lahir dari kepatuhan terhadap visi yang diberikan selama kurun waktu enam tahun kepada seorang usahawan Swedia J. Gunnar Olson, yang diteguhkan dengan nubuatan dan terbukanya pintu kesempatan disekitarnya yang sebelumnya tertutup.

ICCC merupakan panggilan yang serius dan menantang bagi pengusaha Kristen untuk mengenali jaman yang sedang kita masuki dan dengan terang dari pengenalan itu memasuki dimensi iman yang baru yang disediakan bagi mereka yang …” takut akan TUHAN … berbicara satu sama lain … dan menghormati namaNya.” (Maleakhi 3: 16) Visi ini memanggil para pengusaha dan kaum profesi di seluruh dunia yang terbeban untuk saling berhubungan, bertukar pendapat, memperdagang-kan barang dan menyediakan jasa, saling mendukung dan menguatkan secara rohani dan materi.

Berdasarkan eksistensi dari visi itu sendiri memproklamirkan otoritas Kristus yang mutlak diseluruh dunia.

Pada intinya ICCC adalah kehendak TUHAN untuk memperluas tali kasih-Nya, melalui gereja-Nya, didalam dunia usaha. Hal ini menuntut para pelaku bisnis mencari terlebih dahulu Kerajaan-Nya dan segala Kebenaran-Nya. Urapan tersedia bagi mereka yang dengan mata melihat dan telinga mendengar panggilan jaman.

Sebagaimana halnya Raja Daud yang menerima urapan untuk menjadi raja, jauh sebelum dia menjadi Raja, yang keadaan pada saat urapan diberikan sama sekali tidak mungkin bagi Daud untuk menjadi Raja, demikianlah ICCC memanggil para pengusaha Kristen sebelum peristiwanya terjadi untuk mengalami kebebasan masuk ke dalam dimensi baru, dimana sasaran, strategi dan perencanaan bersama-sma diwujudnyatakan sesuai dengan iman di dalam Kristus.

ICCC mencanangkan panggilan itu sejalan dengan rencana TUHAN bagi jaman ini sebagai kunci memperoleh berkat dan pertumbuhan dan agar dapat bangkit berkemenangan diatas gelombang ombak yang mengancam.

Panggilan ICCC: “Mereka akan menjadi milik kesayanganKu sendiri, firman TUHAN semesta Alam pada hari yang Kusiapkan. Aku akan mengasihi mereka sama seperti seseorang menyayangi anaknya yang melayani dia. Maka kamu akan melihat kembali perbedaan antara orang benar dan orang fasik, antara orang yang beribadah kepada TUHAN dan orang yang tidak beribadah kepada-Nya.” (Maleakhi 3: 17-18) 8

KEYAKINAN IMAN ICCC: 

Satu-satunya TUHAN pencipta segala sesuatu dalam kesatuan Trinitas: Bapa, Anak, dan Roh Kudus.



Keilahian TUHAN Yesus Kristus. Kelahiran-Nya dari rahim seorang Perawan. Karya penebusan dosa manusia melalui kematian-Nya diatas kayu salib. Kebangkitan-Nya. Hak otoriatas diri-Nya atas dunia dan Kedatangan-Nya yang kedua kali dalam Kuasa dan Kemuliaan-Nya.



Alkitab, sepenuhnya sebagai Firman TUHAN yang memberikan inspirasi dan berbagai peraturan bagi kehidupan yang dilandasi iman.



Keselamatan pribadi orang berdosa dan kebutuhannya untuk mengalami proses regenerasi melalui karya Roh Kudus dalam menuju menjadikannya sebagai manusia yang dikehendaki oleh TUHAN, seutuhnya.

Transformed Working Life (TWL) adalah Pelatihan resmi dari Kantor Internasional bagi anggota ICCC dalam memperlengkapi anggota dengan pengetahuan dan pemahaman latar belakang, tujuan dan penerapan prinsipprinsip Kerajaan TUHAN bagi dunia bisnis dan profesi.

TWL diperuntukkan bagi anggota dan dapat diikuti secara cuma-cuma, namun terbuka juga bagi siapa saja yang berminat untuk mengikutinya.

TWL diselenggarakan dalam bahasa Indonesia dan dilengkapi dengan buku panduannya, yang telah diterjemahkan kedalam Bahasa Indonesia juga, sehingga para peserta betul-betul akan memperoleh manfa’at yang besar dan mengalami transformasi dalam kehidupan pribadi maupun bisnisnya.

TWL difasilitasi oleh anggota National Board yang terlatih dan dikoordinir oleh V.P. Teaching: Benjamin B. Juwono bersama dengan Teaching Team: a.l.

Transformed Working Life (TWL) akan ditayangkan dalam salah satu channel di Indonesia agar dapat dimanfaatkan oleh para pebisnis & profesional Kristiani di Indonesia bagaimana menerapkan prinsip-prinsip Kerajaan Tuhan dalam kehidupan berbisnis dan bekerja mereka.

TWL bagi members secara rutin diadakan pada hari Sabtu ke 2 setiap bulan dan terbuka dan dianjurkan bagi semua member untuk mengikutinya sebagai pembekalan wajib.

CORPORATE MEDIATION AND SERVICES Corporate Mediation and Services (CMS) is known as the emergency clinic provided by the ICCC Indonesia to help and assist any company owned by the ICCC Indonesia members, individually and/or a partnership corporation belong to two or more members. In addition, CMS is also providing assistance to any company belong to nonmembers as long as they are willing to follow the rules and biblical principles offered by and through CMS. I.

SCOPE OF SERVICES: 1. To link and bring the companies together.

2. To provide consultation to the company in trouble.

3. To provide training to the staff using Transformed Working Life (TWL) training materials.

4. To act as a mediator between two or more parties that involve in conflict due to many reasons.

PROCEDURE: 1. The ICCC Member to contact CMS Centre 2. The participating consultant to visit the company or companies which require help, to discuss about the problems and possible help and assistance to solve the problems.

3. To pray together 4. To set-up the follow-up 5. The CMS will evaluate and submit a proposal on how to handle the problem.

DEVOTIONAL Abide here for fruitfulness ‘By this My Father is glorified that you bear much fruit.’ In so saying Jesus declares the objective for every Christian life.

John 15:1-8 is all about fruitfulness yet often misunderstood. A detailed look at verse 2 will bring some clarity. ‘Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He lifts up (airo in Greek – to lift up) and every branch in Me that bears fruit He cleanses (kathairo in Greek – to cleanse) that it may bear more fruit.’

This is talking about us - every born again believer is now in Jesus. ‘You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.’ (Verse 3) Then Jesus goes on to say that we are to abide (meno in Greek – to dwell, abide) in Him, the vine, as we cannot bear fruit of ourselves. Our ‘good works’ count for nothing – only those works ordained, led, and performed in the Spirit are ‘fruit.’

Then Jesus talks of unbelievers in verse 6, that is those who are not His – anyone who does not dwell in Him. These Jesus says are ‘cast out’ or ‘thrown away,’ gathered and thrown into the fire – certainly not a description of precious born again, spirit indwelt believers of whom Jesus loses not even one, but that one destined for perdition, Judas Iscariot. (John 17:12) Here comes the best business and life plan - Now, dwell, abide in Him and let His words (words He speaks to you) dwell in you – then ask what you desire, in the context of the word He has spoken to you, and it will be done for you. ‘By this My Father is glorified.’

Our Father in heaven is glorified in doing those things that Jesus speaks to us through the Holy Spirit – this is the testimony of ICCC, the business or working life that becomes the outward manifestation of an inward walk of faith – faith that comes by hearing God speak. We don’t live in fear that somehow we fall short and are in danger of being cut off and thrown into the fire. Certainly we all fall short to some degree, but the Spirit who dwells in us changes us from one degree of glory to another and bit by bit we become more like Jesus – truly we are cleansed and lifted up to bear more fruit.

Have you seen a vineyard? There are the vines with their branches lifted up and tied in, to bear much fruit. Our Father is the vinedresser – lovingly tending us, the born again believers, the body and bride of Christ.
