Welcome to the 2018 edition of the OSA Fall Classic Sale. This year we are excited to be hosting the sale at Maple Hill Auctions in Hanover. Once again the offering this year has something for everyone. Heifer calves that will compete next year in the show ring, bred females that will mature into hardworking cows that will give you a quick return on investment. As well the choice lot of the Glenrothes bull calves is very exciting, sired by their new herd sire!

We welcome back many repeat consignors who stand 100% behind their cattle and programs. The new consignors are just as credible and committed to the cattle business. Everyone has dug deep and brought their best. This year we have partnered with DV Auctions to broadcast the sale. Please feel free to contact Emily Gibson if you need any help in that department.

TERMS OF THE SALE The terms are cash unless other arrangements are made with the seller before the sale. Full payment must be made immediately following the sale to the Clerk of the Sale by cash or cheque. Release of animals will not take place until satisfactory settlement arrangements have been concluded with the seller.

BIDS: All prospective buyers must register and receive a bidding number in advance of the sale from the Clerk of the Sale by providing full and acceptable I.D. The highest bidder shall be the buyer. All bidding disputes will be settled by the Auctioneer and his decisions shall be final.

RISK: All animals are sold as is. All animals are at the buyer’s risk as soon as your number is called by the Auctioneer and declared sold.

ERROR/ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any errors, changes and/or additions to the information printed in the catalogue will be announced from the auction block and such announcements shall take precedence.

WARRANTIES: Animals are sold under the standard breeding guarantee endorsed by the Canadian Shorthorn Association.

GENETIC DEFECTS: TH status or other defect status will be advised in the catalogue or by announcement.

DELIVERY: It is the buyer’s responsibility to make arrangements for delivery.

CERTIFICATES: A transfer and Certificate of Registration for registered animals will be furnished free of charge to the buyer by the Ontario Shorthorn Association.

LIABILITY: Every effort will be made to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for those attending the sale. Neither the sellers, facility owners, Ontario Shorthorn Association and it’s Officers and Directors, Auctioneer or sale personnel assume any liability for any accidents or property loss that may occur.

Roxie 2U was the first Saskvalley Pioneer calf to sell in Ontario and as a yearling she was the Reserve Shorthorn Heifer in the Junior Beef Heifer Show.
