1. A valid driver’s license or government ID is required when checking in.
2. Guests must be 18 or older to register a campsite. Site must be occupied by someone 18 or older; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
3. Check-In Time is 2:00 PM Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM for Yurts, Rental Trailers and Safari Tents 12:00 PM for RVs and Tents Must re-register by 10:00 AM. Late check-outs are only allowed if no one has reserved your site. If you want a late check-out, you must call the office the day you are scheduled to check out to see if your site has been reserved.
4. Maximum length of stay in the Campground is: RV Sites – 14 days Tent Sites – 7 days
5. Please notify the Campground Office BEFORE setting up on any other site or changing from one site to another.
6. Each campsite is restricted to the use of one camping rig and one family. Pricing is based on occupancy of five (5) Guests on all sites. Additional guests are $5.00 per person/per night on red, purple, orange, & blue RV sites - maximum 8 people total. Additional guests are $5.00 per person/per night on yellow & brown tent/popup sites - maximum 6 people total.
7. In accordance to Stone Mountain Park Ordinances, camping in automobiles is prohibited. Pickup campers must remain on trucks. Only tents are allowed on the primitive sites. Set up on pads only.
8. Tents are only allowed on tent sites (brown primitive and yellow tent and pop-up sites). Tents are NOT allowed on RV sites. One tent is allowed on primitive sites and a maximum of 2 tents on yellow sites (if space allows)
9. Park your vehicle at your campsite. Only two vehicles may be parked on a single site. For the safety of our campers, all vehicles must be parked off roadways. Parking on the lake front and performing vehicle maintenance is prohibited in the campground. All vehicles must be registered at the Campground Office.
10. All visitors of registered campground guests must check in at the Campground Office. Visitors of campground guests must leave by 10 PM or register to spend the night.
11. Moving campground equipment such as picnic tables between sites is not allowed.
12. The speed limit inside the campground is 15 MPH; strictly enforced.
13. Firecrackers, fireworks or any explosives are prohibited by law.
14. Defacing, cutting down, driving nails or attaching objects to trees, shrubs or light poles is prohibited. Please do not cut trees or limbs.
15. Any damage to property (including buildings, machinery, laundry machines and etc.) is strictly prohibited.
16. Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children and guests. Campground guests are welcome to use our swimming pool (open seasonally). There is NO lifeguard on duty.
17. Georgia law requires that bicycle riders 15 years old and younger must wear a helmet while riding.
18. Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
19. Sites must be kept neat and orderly. All garbage, bottles, cans, etc., must be picked up, wrapped, placed in bags and placed by the road to be collected between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Hanging clothes out to dry is prohibited.
20. Clothing, cooking utensils or dishes may not be washed in bathrooms.
21. The Georgia State Health Department forbids the emptying of any liquids, including dish and wash water at campsite areas. Please use dump stations for this purpose. Those using authorized covered containers to catch dish and wash water should make sure they do not overflow before being emptied. The Park Police will issue citations to violators.
22. Please do not dump fats, oils, or grease in sinks, dump stations or any sewage lines. Allow to cool, then pour into a container and place it in the garbage. Wipe and scrape excess waste from dishes and cooking surfaces before washing.
23. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
24. Stone Mountain Park will not be responsible for any lost or stolen articles, personal injury, or damage from any cause.
25. To ensure you enjoy your experience at Stone Mountain Park, please be aware of the natural terrain. There are some areas which are potentially hazardous. Use caution when approaching such areas as uneven ground.
26. No parking, mats, or rugs on grass areas.
We are a pet friendly campground and welcome any pets. We do ask that you follow the guidelines below to make sure everyone is able to have a great stay with us.
• Pets are not allowed in or around the rental units (Yurts, Rental Trailers or Safari Tents).
• When walking your pet, please keep them on a 6’ leash. Also, please make sure to clean up any mess they might make even in natural areas.
• Service animals must be under owner’s control at all times, and remain on a leash, be it in a harness, or be able to follow voice, signal or other commands given by the owner.
• Don’t leave unattended dogs outside.
• Please keep your pets quiet so they do not disturb other guests. Our quiet hours are from 11pm - 7am.
• Animals are not allowed inside Campground buildings.
• Pets that interfere with the quality of the guest experience in any way (such as aggression, noise, etc) or generate a legitimate complaint to management will result in the pet owner being required to discontinue the pet’s inappropriate behavior, remove the pet to an off-site kennel, or leave the campground.
Stone Mountain Park Campground reserves the right to change your campsite number or location. We reserve the right to discharge any person without refund for failure to abide by the above rules. It is strongly recommended to use a Water Pressure Regulator on your hose at RV sites due to high water pressure levels in the Campground.
