CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES
1. Check-in is 12:00noon Check-out is 11:30am
2. Quiet time is between 11:00pm and 8:00am
3. Parents are responsible for the safety and actions of their children at all times.
4. Fires are allowed only in designated areas: Grills and fire rings only.
5. Please keep our restrooms clean.
6. Garbage: please place your filled bag in the dumpsters across from the office.
7. Do not move from one site to another. No ditching, digging holes or disturbing the ground cover. Park only in the gravel driveway; vehicles are not permitted to park in any grass area at any time.
8. Mayberry Campground is a privately owned camping resort. We reserve the right to select our clientele and refuse anyone.
9. The speed limit for our park is 5 mph.
10. For safety reasons, we do not allow firearms, fireworks, 4 wheelers, go-karts or mini bikes.
11. Fishing is allowed in designated areas for all campers. Fishing is catch and release.
12. The management/owners of Mayberry Campground will not be held responsible for property damage, theft, or your personal safety.
13. Pets are welcome and must be leashed. Please clean up after your pet to keep our park beautiful for your next visit. Pets must not be left unattended outside.
14. No Swimming, boats, or kayaks in ponds.
15. There will be a $20 charge to wash your RV/camper on site.
16. You must have a self-contained RV to stay on-site.
17. NO refunds for early check-out.

MAYBERRY CAMPGROUND - A Place Full of History
Mayberry Campground is a privately owned RV park located in the small town of Mt. Airy, NC which is often referred to as Mayberry. The land the campground is built on was once part of a 2,000-acre farm owned by the original Siamese twins, Eng and Chang Bunker. Originally from Siam (Thailand), the twins and their wives, Sarah (Eng) and Adelaide (Chang), settled in Mt. Airy, NC. Eng and Chang each had their own home and would stay at one residence for three nights, then go to the other residence for three nights. Eng and Sara had 11 children while Chang and Adelaide had 10. The twins were never separated and died on January 17, 1874 at the age of 62.
Within the campground property there is a white farmhouse (pictured above) that was built by Eng’s son, William Bunker in 1900. Occasional tours are offered to groups interested in viewing the old home place. The campground is owned and operated by direct descendants of the twins making it a true family business for generations.
