LEADERSHIP SKILLS
My leadership skills have been honed since I took this position. I have weekly Cabinet meetings and monthly Faculty meetings. I was also given the opportunity to participate in the district’s Leadership Development Series this school year facilitated by Ms. Miranda Beard.
During the weekly Cabinet meeting with the assistant principals and department chairs, we view and discuss video clips from Motivational Speaker Simon Sinek to develop best practices in leadership.

Scholars who make the quarterly Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll have their names displayed outside of our guidance office and receive a certificate during homeroom. These scholars may also be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at the end of the school year. Eighth-grade scholars with a cumulative average of 84.5 will be recognized with a Presidential Award (Silver or Gold) at their Awards Ceremony. All teachers hold contractual tutorials weekly. For scholars requiring remediation, we have extended day tutorials and peer tutoring. For scholars who learn differently, we have several clubs available for them to join.
