LENOX BROWN
Scholarship Recipient
I received a scholarship from the Jamaica Foundation of Houston in 2015. The scholarship I received meant a lot for me. It helped ease my worries of the cost of attending an institution of higher learning, but most importantly it gave me the sense that I had a community rooting for me to succeed. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering in 2019 and with my Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering in 2020 with an emphasis in structures. I am currently a structural engineer at SCA Consulting Engineers in Sugarland, TX. I design residential and commercial building of various sizes constructed from wood, steel, or concrete.
