I am pleased to present the Annual Report for the One Eleuthera Foundation (OEF), which highlights the significant achievements of the organisation during the year. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your generous support of the Foundation. This year has been an extremely challenging one due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, local and global measures taken to address the spread of the virus have had a significant impact on employment and the local economy. Despite these challenges, OEF remains focused on its mission to empower the community of Eleuthera in accordance with its Five Key Areas of Focus: Economy, Education, Environment, Health, and Heritage. These key areas of focus were inspired by A Shared Vision for South Eleuthera, which recently celebrated its 11th Anniversary. As a result of your efforts, OEF was able to enhance the feeding program on the island of Eleuthera, strengthen our partners like the South Eleuthera Emergency Partners (SEEP), expand the Learn and Earn program to North Eleuthera via the Center for Training and Innovation (CTI), launch a farmers market where members of the community are able to purchase fresh, locally grown produce, bottled goods, and specialty crafts and commence the erection of the Cravo Cooling House which will address the issue of
food security and introduce a new method of growing crops year-round. Special thanks to the Senior Management Team and the hardworking staff of OEF, led by President and CEO Shaun Ingraham, for their efforts during the year. I also wish to acknowledge the contributions of the many partners in the community, including local residents and second homeowners who continue to give of their time and resources to the programs of OEF. Finally, many thanks to my colleagues on the Board for your continued support and commitment to the organisation and the sustainable development of Eleuthera. It is truly an honor to serve as Chairman of this great and much-needed organisation. I remain confident that by working together, we will accomplish the goals that have been set for the One Eleuthera Foundation while improving the lives of the residents of Eleuthera.
