I feel that most of my training has been in the science area. I enrolled in a Medical Records and Technology program where I received a scholarship to attend. I completed all of the required course-work. However, before I could obtain the credential. .I had to return to work on a full time bases preventing me from completing the internship. I also think that I have developed some excellent people skills, while working in the setting of critical crisis situations in the hospital. I feel that my training in the field of education could also be utilized in the field of Educational Research. Some of my long term goals are to travel overseas to assist and aide with the current research that is being done with the HIV victims. The work that I did with families of Special Population as a Teacher in the field of Early Intervention and Prevention has more than prepared me to do work in the field of Health Education crisis. I have also had an opportunity to work overseas in a setting where my skills were continually being called upon during the crisis intervention period in Germany. It was my responsibility to identify children from birth to age six years old with health care issues. I was responsible for referring the children for screenings, testing and finally for services. I feel that my prior background in working with various families have prepared me to study in the field Health care. I plan to educate special populations on preventive alternative to drug treatment for ADHD children. I also have an interest in mental health alternative treatments plans for clients who are not faring well with traditional drug therapy treatments. I always knew that I would someday come back to this chapter in my life. I believed that real advocate never stop championing the causes of health care issues on behalf of families. I plan to advocate in my work for the causes of women and children with health care issues across the country. I especially, plan to work very hard for families of children with disabilities. I have also shared the platform with my mentors and dearest professors from Purdue University (Mrs. Loretta Hatfield at the University of North Carolina who has made her transition); on educational and legal issues that concern the ADA laws and rights of the disabled. I became very interested in Health and Research programs once I started to research the various programs in the field of study in, the Health Educational field of Medical Records. I even wrote a disposition paper on Medical Fiche Cards that won second place with 3 M Corporation in the of Minnesota. I received an excellent education from Purdue University, while obtaining my undergraduate degree I was studying to work with families in the hospital setting in a crisis. I am very interested in a variety of areas such as: Environmental Health, Educational Health and Public Health. I feel that the Mayo Clinic has embraced the twenty first century view points of Social Change, which is a fresh and welcomed outlook on Health care Administration. It became even more apparent to me that working at the Mayo Clinic would be an, excellent place to work and to be mentored, while studying as an Administrative Health care employee on issues in the field of Educational Research. I had observed the many different options that are available to a Fellow who wanted to make a difference in society as a researcher in the Educational Research field of medicine. I discovered that the Mayo Clinic is not just discussing the topics of Social Change, but they are actually engaging in the change that they would like to see being incorporated on a daily bases. They are training fellows how to make radical changes in the Health care Profession, which I think is excellent. I feel that the world is going to have to make future changes in order to meet the needs and demands of the new Administrative Fellows in the health

care field. I feel that the Mayo Clinic has taken a proactive approach in making the move towards addressing-the grass roots issues, state side as well as overseas in other countries, . I was impressed to learn that the Mayo Clinic was in several different locations. I understand that there are plans for new fellows to join on their efforts in collaborating with the Administrative, Department of the Mayo Clinic. I feel that this is an excellent decision on the-Administrative part. I was delighted to talk with a few of the Administrators within the department.
