Kesko is the leading wholesale-based organisation in Finland. It operates roughly 1,640 stores under the K-citymarket, K-supermarket and K-market. Kesko has subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Belarus. Kesko markets organic foods under its Pirkka private label which has about 123 products. The range includes organic fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, drinks, bakery products, snacks and condiments. Carrefour is the leading organic food retailer in Spain, with about 1,000 outlets. The retailer markets about 190 organic products under its Carrefour Bio private label. Eroski is another supermarket chain in Spain, operating as a worker -consumer co-operative within the Mondragón Corporation Group. The retailer operates about 1,150 outlets. The retailer markets about 500 organic product under its Eroski Natur private label. The product range includes organic fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, baby food, and snacks.
