THE JUMP START PROGRAM
It’s Mr. Glenn, the principal at Dunedin Highland Middle School! Get ready for an exciting new initiative for your scholars!
We are thrilled to introduce an innovative opportunity to prepare your scholar for middle school while accelerating their learning by keeping them engaged and curious. Our school is excited to announce our inaugural Jump Start enrichment program and summer camp! Your student was selected because they demonstrate incredible academic and leadership potential. We want to grow that and maximize your student’s potential.
We would like to invite you to join us for an information session on Thursday, May 2nd at 5:30 pm, where you can learn more about the program curriculum, meet me, the school principal, and ask any questions you may have. The evening will include giveaways for the students and an exciting family Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activity.

The Jump Start school year program will support students identified as showing academic and leadership promise and provide them with accelerated course offerings, weekly enrichment activities, and provide support to families as needed.
Students will receive literacy instruction combined with rich and real world applicable STEM challenges.
Our Jump Start Summer Camp is designed to ignite your scholar's passion for discovery and problem-solving through hands-on activities, exciting projects, and real-life applications of their learning. We believe that learning should never take a break, and this camp is committed to providing a fun and educational environment where your scholar can continue to explore the wonders of STEM and be well-prepared for their middle and high school years to come.

Summer Camp
Two Field Trips
Scholars will visit a nature preserve and aircraft hangar providing them with realworld connections to their learning and inspiring them to explore future STEM opportunities.
Expert Instruction
Our experienced teachers and volunteers will guide your scholar through engaging camp activities, providing support and encouragement every step of the way.
Hands-On Activities
Such as building vehicles, constructing electronic birds, and conducting experiments.
Middle School Readiness
What to expect in middle school classes, time management, and successful study habits. Scholars will learn all about the important transition from Elementary School to Middle School.
