Objective 1

We will deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, by:

• Providing our students and apprentices with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to combat the climate crisis

• Developing innovative pedagogy based on relevant research and best practice across the sector

• Building our inclusive teaching and assessment practice so no student or apprentice is disadvantaged, and all are able to achieve their full potential

• Developing our students’ and apprentices’ skills and knowledge through effective and continuous feedback

Objective 1

We will deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.

By 2026, we will:

• Have an environmentally relevant, dynamic and high-performing learning offer which is fully endorsed by all stakeholders

• Self-assess as Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ for all aspects and provision types, including for our nurseries endorsed by all stakeholders

Objective 2

• Building strong industry partnerships in every area of our offer providing industrial updating for all teachers and high-quality experience of work for all students and apprentices

• Assessing student and apprentice skills against best practice globally through our membership of WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence and embedding skills competitions across all curriculum areas

We will prepare our students and apprentices to meet skills demands, by:

• Providing high quality, relevant and appropriate careers information, advice and guidance for students and apprentices at all levels

• Maintaining a rigorous approach to safeguarding

• Providing an ambitious and responsive programme of personal development

Objective 2

By 2026, we will:

• Ensure at least 95% of our students and apprentices progress into relevant destinations

• Provide a safe environment for everyone while studying with the College

• Be consistently in the top 5 medal scoring colleges in the UK at WorldSkills UK national finals

We will prepare our students and apprentices to meet skills demands.

• Ensure all students gain appropriate experience of work

Objective 3

• Continually evaluating, co-creating and implementing our learning offer in partnership with local and regional stakeholders

• Clearly defining pathways to employment at all levels, including apprenticeships and supported internships, which meet skills demands

• Ambitiously delivering on all projects and creating a pipeline of new opportunities in collaboration with industry partners and stakeholders

• Establishing a reputation as a provider of choice for new collaborative projects

We will meet skills demands through a collaborative and creative curriculum, by:

• Maximising every opportunity for growth in all relevant funding streams, including ambitiously growing our T Level student cohorts

• Continuing to work in close and mutually effective ways with all schools, universities and other educational providers

By 2026, we will:

• Have skills needs embedded into our learning offer, with employers involved in its design and delivery in all curriculum areas

• Be recognised as a significant contributor and partner to the economy

• Have diversified our income streams and developed and delivered new ambitious projects
