ACTIVITIES EXTRA-CURRICULAR

The fees for all extra-curricular activities will be paid once a term in the months of November, January and April. It must be borne in mind that it will not be possible to cancel an activity during the term that is in course. This must be done before the 20th day of the month in which the term ends.

FEES SCHOOL LUNCH

Activities that take place during school hours will be organized in a way that allows your child sufficient time for lunch.

NUMBER OF STUDENTS

In order for an activity to start up, a minimum of 8 students are required.

TIMETABLE OF ACTIVITIES

The timetables listed in the dossier are approximate and are subject to modification.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Should participation in competitions or exhibitions be required, the purchase of the appropriate kit/uniform will also be necessary. All relevant information will be provided via email.

INFORMATION ABOUT ACTIVITIES

NUMBER OF STUDENTS

The School will endeavour to organize its extra-curricular activities in a way that students are able to attend several of them should they wish to do so.

CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES

Activities will begin in October and end in June. There will not be any activities during holiday periods or on bank holidays, long weekends or days on which the local council decides there is no class.

SWIMMING

Should you be unable to attend a group swimming class, you will not be able to retake this class. However, should it be an individual lesson, this will be possible, provided 24 hours’ notice is given in writing extraescolareslde@gruposorolla.es This lesson should be taken in a different timetable from the one you have signed up for, and never beyond the end date of the pack which you have purchased. Maximum 3 lessons to be retaken during a term.

WATER ACTIVITIES

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

Lessons from 6 months of age. Individual classes.

*Provisional timetables subject to change.

*Ability to swim will take priority over age.

GROUP CLASSES

Group lessons from 2 to 6 people. The sessions will range from an intermediate to advanced level. The main aim will be to improve swimming technique, through a variety of fun training sessions.

*Each student will carry out a level test in order to be assigned to the appropriate group.

SWIMMING LESSONS

Swimming lessons are aimed at Preschool age, in which we differentiate between individual or group classes depending on the students’ level. Our objective is to equip them with the abilities to feel confident in the water, learning basic swimming techniques.

OPEN POOL SESSIONS

Our pool sessions allow users to enjoy our heated pool, with the objective that best suits each swimming, as well as rehabilitation.

Timetable: 5 – 7 p.m. (provisional)

SPORTS CLUB LA DEVESA SCHOOL

MULTISPORTS

The physical benefits of doing multisports are an increase in aerobic capacity, muscular strength, coordination, an increase in their speed, agility and flexibility, learning about discipline, the value of hard work and effort, as well as improving self-esteem.

Timetable: Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

PRE-SPORT

Pre-sport activities provide multiple qualities that are beneficial for a child's life and development. They prepare the child for practicing any sport by providing them with physical and technical resources. These activities introduce the child to physical exercise in a playful environment and guide them towards competitive sports activities that they may not be able to participate in due to their age.

COMMERCIAL DANCE

Designed for students in the 2nd and 3rd cycle of primary education.

Commercial dance is a dance style that focuses on coordination, rhythm, and flexibility. It incorporates elements of jazz, break dance, Afro rhythms, and contemporary dance. The movements are highly choreographed and intense, with sharp and expressive gestures that primarily involve the arms and torso.

FOOTBALL 8

Discover the exciting activity of Football 8 and feel the thrill of each game. Football 8 is a sports activity which combines fun, competition, fair play and teamwork.

BALLET

Ballet is a form of dance that allows for complete and absolute control of the body through specific techniques and movements. This discipline requires a high level of concentration to ensure precise execution of bodily movements, demanding both flexibility and strength.

Schedule: MONDAYS: 1 PM to 2 PM or 2 PM to 3 PM

TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art known for its variety and spectacular kicking techniques. It also includes techniques involving hand strikes, punches, elbows, feet, and even knees. Additionally, it incorporates a wide range of self-defense techniques such as grabs, blocks, and sweeps.

Schedule: 2nd cycle of Primary Education: TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS: 1 PM to 2 PM 1st cycle of Primary Education: TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS: 2 PM to 3 PM

TAEKWONDO COMPETITION

Classes aimed at preparing for federated taekwondo competitions, which showcase the variety and spectacular nature of its kicking techniques. Taekwondo also includes techniques involving hand strikes, punches, elbows, feet, and knees. It comprises a wide range of diverse self-defense techniques such as grabs, blocks, and sweeps.

JUDO

Utilizing the possibilities offered by a non-violent contact sport, the soft tatami mat, and the resistant judo uniform (judogi), children are encouraged to explore and improve through play and fun. The judogi allows them to jump, push, stretch, roll, crawl, and do various activities without fear of tearing or limitations.

FITKID

FitKid combines jumps, turns, balances, acrobatics, and dance steps from various dance styles, all performed to the rhythm of music. It develops physical qualities such as flexibility, strength, and endurance, while also enhancing coordination, sense of rhythm, and body expression.

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

Rhythmic gymnastics is one of the best activities for the holistic development of a child as it stimulates strength, flexibility, coordination, and speed. It combines elements of ballet, artistic gymnastics, dance, body expression, and the use of various apparatus such as the rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon. In this sport, musical accompaniment is essential to maintain the rhythm of the movements.

Schedule: MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS from 1 PM to 2 PM (2nd and 3rd cycle of Primary Education) MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS from 2 PM to 3 PM (1st cycle of Primary Education)

COMPETITIVE RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

Classes focused on the preparation for federated rhythmic gymnastics championships. Competitive rhythmic gymnastics is one of the best activities for the holistic development of a child as it stimulates strength, flexibility, coordination, and speed. It combines elements of ballet, artistic gymnastics, dance, body expression, and the use of various apparatus such as rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon.

In this sport, musical accompaniment is essential to maintain the rhythm of the movements.

CULTURAL LABORATORY

DRAMATIZATION

Promotes personal development by strengthening communication skills, creative abilities, and teamwork adaptability. Our primary and secondary school groups participate in various competitions in the city.

Schedule: MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS: 1 PM to 2 PM: 4-year-old group THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS: 2 PM to 3 PM: Primary School FRIDAYS: 5 PM to 7 PM: Secondary School.

CREATIVITY

Colors, cardboard, glue, and recycled materials are some of the tools children will use to develop creativity and create fun crafts, promoting their psychomotor skills and fostering enthusiasm for their creations.

FRENCH

Group or individual French classes where students will learn the language in a fun way. Groups will be organized based on starting levels.

NANOBOTS

AIMED AT CHILDREN AGED 3 TO 5 IN PRE-SCHOOL

This educational technology project has a duration of 8 months (from October to May), with the option to extend it to June upon request.

It consists of 4 technological modules:.

• ROBOTICS

• PROGRAMMING

• FINE MOTOR SKILLS

• AUGMENTED REALITY

BYTEBOTS

TARGETED AT STUDENTS IN 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL.

The educational technology project lasts for 8 months (from October to May), with the possibility of extension to June upon request.

It includes modules covering various:

TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS SUCH AS ROBOTICS, VIDEO GAME PROGRAMMING, VIRTUAL REALITY, DRONES, 3D MODELING AND PRINTING, CREATIVE ELECTRONICS, AND MINECRAFT.

SCHEDULE: Mondays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

MEGABOTS

TARGETED AT STUDENTS IN 4TH, 5TH, AND 6TH GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL, AS WELL AS 1ST AND 2ND GRADE OF SECONDARY SCHOOL.

The educational technology project lasts for 8 months (from October to May), with the possibility of extension to June upon request.

It includes modules covering various:

TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS SUCH AS ROBOTICS, VIDEO GAME PROGRAMMING, VIRTUAL REALITY, DRONES, 3D MODELING AND PRINTING, CREATIVE ELECTRONICS, MINECRAFT, AND MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT.

SCHEDULE: Primary school: Mondays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Secondary school: Mondays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

ACADEMIC TRAINING

SPEECH THERAPY

In this activity, the specialist will work individually with students, addressing their needs.

REVISION LESSONS

We offer reinforcement or in-depth classes in various subjects at different levels. The objective of these sessions is to help students consolidate the content taught during the school day.

LANGUAGE LESSONS

Learn a new language at our facilities. We provide the opportunity to learn English, French, German, Valencian, and more. We adapt to different schedules.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES

MORNING EXTENSION

Morning extension service from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM

AFTERNOON EXTENSION

Afternoon extension service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Devesa offers the opportunity for your children to celebrate their HAPPY BIRTHDAY at school, surrounded by their classmates and engaging in fun activities such as piñatas, face painting, storytelling, cooking workshops, and traditional games led by qualified monitors.

DEVESA NIGHT

Several times per trimester, students can stay at school after classes until the next day at 12:30 PM. They spend Friday night to Saturday participating in recreational and sports activities, including swimming. Registered students take part in workshops, crafts, baking activities, use of digital technologies, all tailored to different age groups.
