From the President We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Can you believe it’s already 2020? Who would have thought we would have made it this far. With the New Year many exciting events will be coming your way. Each of our monthly luncheons will feature some of the most high energy speakers. Our Parade of Homes in June will kick off with the Bigger and Better CASINO NIGHT, as well as several surprise items on our agenda. Our mission at the Home Builders this year is to INCREASE OUR MEMBERSHIP. We would appreciate everyone to bring a friend to each of our luncheons; this will give our new prospective members a little insight into the Home Builders Association. Then, GET INVOLVED. We value any suggestions and/or input from our members, to make our coveted Association better. Thanks to all who participate in our Association, with your time, money, and insight.

Another year has gone and here we are in 2020. Who would have believed the me would have passed so quickly? Along with the enre year of 2019, December sped through like a rocket and like every year, was a busy month for Christmas pares. December 7th, President Barney Brock, Board Director Cindy David and her husband Kenny and Execuve Vice President Teri Gibson had the honor of celebrang Christmas with the 363rd Training Squadron. As always it was a blast. Their event planners sure do a great job of coming up with a fantasc venue, good food, awesome games and super gis. The evening started with a social hour to mix and mingle. During this me aendees had the opportunity to put ckets, they had received when they registered, in various prize buckets. Some of the prizes that could be won were a BBQ Basket with different types of spices, rubs, sauces etc., a robo vacuum with a gi basket of pampering items, a liquor basket, a decorave bucket full of wine, a gi basket full of gi cards to businesses in Wichita Falls and a Nintendo game. This was just a handful of prizes that could be won. There were some other major prizes that consisted of a $400.00 gi card toward a gun and a weekend to Great Wolf Lodge. There were two Angel trees that had envelopes on them and ckets were drawn for a chance to pick an envelope off the tree that also had a prize in it. Cindy David was lucky enough to have her cket number drawn and won a Texas Road House gi card. The event was held at the MPEC Center with Spectrum catering a delicious meal of Lasagna, Chicken Alfredo, Salad, Green Beans and Garlic Toast. The Christmas décor was awesome! There was a great turn out of people dressed fesvely, semi-formal and formal and many pictures were taken. Some were posing in front of the decorated Christmas trees while others were taking selfies at their tables. Everyone was eager to parcipate in the team games. Several minute to win it type games were played and it was as much fun to watch as it was to be involved. One game contestants were given a ssue box that was ed around their waste with ping pong balls inside. The opening was facing outward and the object was to shake and jump around unl all their balls had come out. Another game, teams had to decorate one of their members to be the best wrapped Christmas present. The winner was chosen by the applause of the audience. It was a close compeon for sure! Throughout the evening there was prize drawings, dancing while the D.J. played all types of music and games conducted with individuals and groups. There was never a dull moment. It was a very Merry Christmas Party! Thank you 363rd for allowing the North Texas Home Builders Associaon to be a part of your group!

On December 10th the NTHBA had their Annual Christmas party. 120 people aended the event and began the evening with a social hour feasng on shrimp cocktail and mingling. Around 7 PM President Barney Brock welcomed everyone and thanked them for aending. A few announcements were made along with recognizing and thanking the 2019 NTHBA Partners: Gold partners (Guarantee Title Company & Union Square Credit Union), Silver partners (American Naonal Bank, First Naonal Bank, On Site Soluons and Texoma Community Credit Union). Special guest were also recognized, Lt. Colonel Olson and his wife Chrisna and Mike White and his wife Nelva of the 363rd Training Squadron and Wichita Falls Fire Chief Ken Prillaman and his wife Deb. Eddie Holcomb gave the invocaon and then a dinner of ribeye steaks, loaded mashed potatoes, salad and cobbler were served around 7:15. Aer guest had the opportunity to eat, President Barney Brock asked Fire Chief Prillaman to come up and accept the many toys donated by members who aended the Christmas Party. Chief Prillaman spoke to the crowd and expressed the appreciaon of the enre Wichita Falls Fire Department for the generosity of the NTHBA members and their connued support of the WFFD Operaon Santa. He menoned he had not been in Wichita Falls but a couple of months but was very moved by how compassionate and giving the Wichita Falls Community is. He said without the support of the community, the WFFD would not be able to connue Operaon Santa and help so many have a Christmas who would not have been able to have one. Aer Chief Prillaman finished, President Barney Brock had the Jason Hollis Band play and guest began to dance. Periodically throughout the night, Barney would stop the band and drew ckets for guest to win door prizes. Aer a few cket were drawn, Barney changed up a lile and told guest the first one to be able to show him some fesve socks would get the door prize. Barney was not disappointed. We had some very fun loving aendees who were all about the season and Kevin Rhine took the prize. Another item asked for was a red pocket knife, which Jim Smith just happened to have on his key chain, a measuring device that Kaycee Ryan brought to our aenon, there is an app for that and a picture of a chicken which could be an actual picture or drawn, at which we did have quite the arst in Lindsey Sheppard. Then it was back to the ckets. Aer all the last batch of door prizes were given away, it was back to the band and the dance floor. Everyone had a great me and many members were gracious enough to sck around and help clean up. A big thank you to Blake and Chelsie Seyler, Mike & Nelva White, Billy & Robin Brock, Dianne & Barney Brock, Paige Schlumpf, Eddie Holcomb, Jim Gibson and any others that I may have missed that had a hand in helping set up or cleaning up. A big thank you to everyone who aended and parcipated in the Operaon Santa with their gis. A big thank you to those who donated door prizes: Brazos Window & Door, Breegles, Cindy David, Hughes & Sons LLC., Lance Friday Homes, Lowes, Nelva White, Pilgrim Bank, Servpro,
