Denise Carpenter, our Director of Communications, will reach out with a schedule in the coming days to let you know when to be on the look out for them and their cameras. The videos and photos will be compiled and shared with our staff and patients the week of Thanksgiving.

INTHENEWS ENDOCRINOLOGY EXPANSION
Nurse Practitioner Patience Tieri was featured in a recent article by NWILife for her efforts in the endocrinology field. Tieri rotates throughout NorthShore's Portage, Hammond, and Lake Station clinics. A large number of patients in the community are struggling with diabetes and Tieri saw the need to help.
She specialized in endocrinology and earned certification in diabetes management from Duke University. Check out the article to learn more about how NorthShore's endocrinology team is expanding.
"The need was just so great, and our area has a limited number of endocrinologists," said Tieri. "I wanted to address that need and NorthShore did all they could to support me as I studied."
MEGAN WALKER IN "ASK THE EXPERT"
Megan Walker, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP BC) at Portage NorthShore was featured in this month' s episode of The Times "Ask the Expert."
Walker discussed breast cancer, lifestyle tips to avoid the risk of breast cancer, as well as when and how often women should get a mammogram
She urged women with significant family history or who have a potential genetic mutation to talk to their healthcare providers about early screening WATCH HERE
