Promotion Of Tribal Goods By Renuka Singh -The Minister Of Tribal Affairs

There were innovative activities conducted in order to promote the use of natural products and tribal handicrafts Amazon.com to partner with Tribes India and launch TRIBES India products across the world through Amazon.com to promote the use of tribal products in the US and start an export market with tribal products Plan of empowering tribal weavers by joining hands with the Central Silk Board for development, promotion, and marketing of tribal silk products Renuka Singh launched a “Go Tribal Campaign” on June 28th,2019 with an intention to come together in partnership with several organizations to promote tribal goods. The MD and Chairman of TRIFED were present on the occasion. TRIFED is under the brand name “TRIBES INDIA” that aims at developing and marketing tribal art and craft. Tribal Ministry of Affairs takes care of this organization.

The below mentioned points were covered at the event :

Khadi Kurtas and Jackets were introduced by collaborating the with “I am Khadi” Foundation. TRIFED did so to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ethnic fashion wear was showcased by a supplier from Grameen Vikas Chetna Sanstha who was awarded the Nari Shakti Puraskar by the President Of India. Soaps produced by the tribals were also showcased besides handicrafts, handlooms, Honey, Lac Products, etc
