Library patrons learn about pyramids and pharaohs By Paul Colella Special to the North Haven Citizen Amateur Egyptologist Paulette Morin, M.ED., recently gave a multi-media program on ancient Egyptian civilization at the North Haven Memorial Library. Morin’s program included storytelling, examination of a museum exhibition of Egyptian artifact reproductions, and hands-on activities. “I’ve been to Egypt sixteen times and every time I learn something new,” stated Morin. “I’ve been to the museums and toured ancient Egyptian ruins, walked inside pyramids and took a trip down the Nile River.”
“I believe that it’s important to study cultures, places, and civilizations because it helps us to learn about other countries and customs in our world,” he added. Morin has been doing this for 26 years. She brings her programs “Having Fun with Pyramids and Pharaohs”
and “Having Fun with Fossils and Dinosaurs” to schools and assemblies, cub scouts, and assisted living lecture series. She explained that this unique educational museum program provides an integrated, dynamic ap-
