We strive to provide a positive experience for campers of all abilities through our fun activities and caring environment. Our programs are designed to entertain and challenge children, giving them the camp experience of a lifetime! All of our camps are themed based and take place outdoors. We ask that children come dressed appropriately for the weather, and active participation in hands-on programs and exploration. They may get dirty. We will be outside in light rain but have access to the indoors on extremely wet days. Age-appropriate activities are arranged for each camp. These programs offer your child an opportunity to explore Newfoundland’s natural surroundings through Outdoor Adventure Play, Exploration Activities, Games, Crafts, Making Food, Creative Play and Adventures. It’s the ultimate summer adventure!

Themed Camps Children must be 5 years old or attending kindergarten in the fall of 2021 to attend our 5 -7 year old camps. Children must be 8 yeas old or entering grade three to attend the 8-12 yr old camps. Early Drop Off (8AM) and Late Pickup (5PM) are available for families who have pre-registered. Cost for early drop off is $10 per hour & late pick-up is $10 per hour. HST applicable.
Cancellation by Murray’s Pond Murray’s Pond reserves the right to cancel camps with insufficient registration. If this is the case all current registrants will be notified by phone or email two weeks prior to a potential cancellation. A full refund will be given.
Confirmation & Directions Upon receiving your completed Registration Form and acceptance, we will send you an invoice, directions, and a list of what to bring to the camp. Arrival and departure times will be sent a week prior to each camp.
Food Campers may bring their own snacks and lunch. Murray’s Pond will have a weekly lunch package available for pre-order. Details will be sent to a week before camp begins.
Please ensure your child does not bring any toys, electronics or phones to camp. Murray’s Pond cannot be responsible for loss or damage of these items. Our camp is about socializing and cooperative play. A life vest will be required for days we play or create near the pond. This can stay at camp for the week. Please label well. Proper rain gear is essential; boots, rain pants, rain coat, rain hat If one child does not have proper rain gear it means the whole group cannot go outside.

All campers get time in the paddle boats, mud kitchen play, fort building, games and swimming Note: 4-7 yr old campers are a ratio of 4:1 8-12 yr old campers are a ratio of 6:1 Week 1: June 28 - July 2 Outdoor Survival Skills Adventure #1 Ages 8-12 $200 Participants will learn the basic tools of survival: a positive mental attitude, basic first aid, building a shelter, the importance of fire & water, signalling & food. Participants will use these skills to design and build forts and will enhance their free play in the wooded area around Murray’s Pond in designated areas. Week 2: July 5-9 (two camps run side by side - small groups) 1. Outdoor Messy Science Camp: Slime Ages 4-7 (entering kindergarten) $230 2. Outdoor Messy Science Camp: Slime Ages 8-12 (entering grade 3+) $200 Fizzy, exploding, frozen, volcano, solar, slime, bubbles, and foamy are just some of the words to describe our outdoor science experiments. Participants will spend time with fun messy experiments as well as free play at the Mud Kitchens and explore the wooded area around Murray’s Pond within a designated zone. Week 3: July 12-16 - Water Camp #1 Ages 4-7 (entering kindergarten) $230 FUN! FUN! FUN! WET! WET! WET! A Camp favourite! Participants will have several days swimming along with fun water activities throughout the day. Participants will also have free time to explore the wooded area around Murray’s Pond and play with the Mud Kitchens within a designated zone. Week 4: July 19-23 - Water Camp #2 Ages 8-12 (entering grade 3) $200 FUN! FUN! FUN! WET! WET! WET! Another camp favourite for this age group. Campers will swim, go in paddle boats, play more advanced water games, play with water guns while still having time to build forts and play age appropriate games such as Kick the Can, or Hide & Seek with walkie talkies. Week 5: July 26-30 Pirate Camp - Ages 4-7 (entering kindergarten) $230 Act like a Pirate, Talk like a Pirate, Play like a Pirate! Pirates are always popular. In costume, participants continue the role of their pirate throughout the day. Girls and boys alike love to hear stories of pirates and then use their imaginations to become their character. Pirates also like to build forts.

All campers get time in the paddle boats, mud kitchen play, fort building, games and swimming Week 6: Aug 2-6 Harry Potter Camp Ages 8-12 $200 There is something magical about playing Harry Potter in the forest: potions making, wand making and magic spells, There will be magical games and activities throughout the day. Wizards and witches will gain a greater sense of their imagination as they play Defence Against the Dark Arts and Quidditch. Week 7: Aug 9-13 Outdoor Survival Skills Adventure #2 Ages 8-12 $200 This camp will be a repeat of Adventure #1 for some and will build on the knowledge learned for returning campers. Participants will learn the basic tools of survival: a positive mental attitude, basic first aid, building a shelter, the importance of fire, water, signalling & food. Participants will use these skills to enhance their free play in the wooded area around Murray’s Pond. Week 8: Aug 16 - 20 Let’s Make Noise - Homemade Music Camp Ages 4-7 $230 We all like to sometimes make noise when playing in the forest! Participants will use recycled materials to make beautiful musical instruments. We may even have our very own concert .. all outside. From crazy rain sticks to creative 'invent your own musical instruments' participants will play in the forest and mud kitchens with music on their mind. Week 9: Aug 23-27 (two camps running side by side) 1. Let’s Get Messy Art Camp (outdoor fun art) Ages 4-7 $240 2. Let’s Get Messy Art Camp Ages 8-12 $210 What a better place to let your imagination go while painting, drawing, designing and creating than in the woods. Although we make a mess when being creative and painting, at Murray’s Pond, we always clean up after ourselves. Imagine the freedom of expression as we draw and paint outside with the cool breeze while having nature as our backdrop. Sometimes art becomes science and integrates music.
Because art projects can involve extra supplies an additional charge of $10.00 for materials is required.
