Shout Outs!

Year Five have been practising their Non-Verbal Reasoning skills. They constructed cubes with a different pattern or symbol on each face. They then used the cubes to create their own cube problems, using spotty grid paper to draw 3D views of their cube. They have also learnt that a Tangram is a deceptively simple puzzle that starts life as a square which has been divided into seven different shapes. These shapes can then be rearranged to form many different pictures. Year Five chose animals.

The Year 4, 5 & 6 pupils thoroughly enjoyed the non-competitive mini-triathlon that was organised by the Brownlee Foundation. All the children were able to experience how a triathlon is run as well as the different disciplines involved.
