President’s Message The main function of the V&D is to work closely with all clubs in the Lower Mainland to promote the sport of bowls. We shall do our best to render help in player development, new member recruitment, and to organize wide-ranging competitions from novices to advanced bowlers. During the cool season, while our bowlers are switching from outdoor games to indoor bowling or curling, the V&D Board members have already started to work quietly for preparation of the 2012 handbook and events. We must say we owe much to this group of people for their time and effort put into the job and I believe that your support and involvement will be their biggest reward. We also want to thank our suppliers and advertising partners for their continuous support over the many years. When this booklet comes to your hand, the new bowling season is not far away. I wish every one of you could make good use of this handbook and try to participate in all kinds of events whether they are V&D tournaments or Inter-Club games. So, fasten your seat-belt, get ready, and GO! Have a great season with good weather, good luck and good bowling. Kion Wong, President
