BEAUTY HISTORY

Nolan Catholic High School continues a faith tradition that began more than half a century ago: preparing students to become tomorrow’s servant leaders. Founded by men and women in religious vocations, the school was originally called “Our Lady of Victory.” In 1963 it was renamed in honor of the late Monsignor Robert N. Nolan for his devotion to the community of Fort Worth. As a ministry of the Diocese of Fort Worth, Nolan Catholic provides families with a Catholic, college preparatory path with an emphasis in the liberal arts, an education based in faith, formation in hope, and perseverance in charity.

CURRICULUM TRIVIUM The Trivium program is a four-year track in which students engage in a deeper study of the methods of classical education.

Starting with Grammar and moving into Logic and Rhetoric, students will develop skills that will allow them to write about, think about, and articulate clearly the great ideas of our Western tradition. Once equipped with these fundamental skills, students will flourish in any profession, vocation, or area of study they choose. Our Trivium program educates our students at the intersection of faith and wisdom.

HONORS, AP, DUAL CREDIT Advanced Placement (AP) courses offer qualified students an opportunity to do college-level work while in high school.

Students enrolled in AP courses are encouraged to take the AP exam to potentially earn college credit.

ENGINEERING PROGRAM From launching space explorations to delivering safe, clean water to communities, engineers find solutions to pressing problems and turn their ideas into reality. Engineering empowers students to step into the role of an engineer, adopt a problem-solving mindset, and make the leap from dreamers to doers. The program’s courses include: Introduction to Engineering Design, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Computer Science Principles and Engineering Essentials. Students engage in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers.

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES Nolan Catholic offers 11 champion level athletic teams, including football, basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, soccer, track, cross country, tennis, swimming, and golf, over 50 clubs, and a variety of elective programs. Every year, students chose electives that include art, graphic design, ceramics, theatre, dance, choir, band, orchestra, psychology, criminal justice, sports medicine, horticulture, latin, broadcasting, photography, and culinary arts. In addition, we have a brand new, state-of-the-art, 10-lane natatorium for our competitive swimming program. Students also have the opportunity to participate in our world-ranked robotics team.

GRADUATE HONORS Amon G. Carter Scholars – Cumulative numerical average of 95.000 or higher for seven consecutive semesters and six or more credits in Honors/AP courses completed.

Summa Cum Laude – Cumulative numerical average of 96.000 and above with no grade below 70.

Magna Cum Laude – Cumulative numerical average of 90.000 to 95.999 with no grade below 70.

Cum Laude – Cumulative numerical average 85.000 to 89.999 with no grade below 70.
