About Us Board Members


The Viking Club is a parent-led organization created to support all school approved athletic teams, organizations, and clubs. The Viking Club has donated over $250,000 to the school to help students maximize their experience with these meaningful extracurricular activities.


Viking Club is a service-oriented and supportive group of parents, alumni, and community partners. Viking Club is a service ministry dedicated to raise funds in efforts to support Nolan’s mission to provide education in faith, formation in hope, and perseverance in charity.

The Nolan Catholic Community benefits from Viking Club through financial donations, providing volunteers for concessions at all school events, and strengthening the Nolan community through acts of service and fundraisers. All Viking Club proceeds are used to support student extracurricular needs. Our Vikings reap the benefits!

BIO:
YEARS: 1
Ben Lamb was named as the next Head Coach of our Cross Country program earlier this summer. Ben was hired as an assistant Track and Field coach in the spring of 2022 and made an immediate impact on our student-athletes.

Ben ran Cross Country and Track at East Texas Baptist for two years before completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Texas. Ben currently has a level two USATF endurance certification as well as a USATF Cross Country certification.
For the past five years, Ben has served as an assistant coach with the “Train Like a Kenyan” track club. During his time with them, they produced several state champions in Track and Cross Country, as well, as developed several athletes to run at the college level.

BIO:
Coach Williams brings nearly 20 years of experience in successful Catholic education settings in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. Coach Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise from Sam Houston State University, where he competed as a student-athlete. Williams has also competed at Texas A&M University, and he has played for storied college and professional coaches Willie Fritz and Mike Sherman. Coach Williams has said that his positive and formative experiences as a student-athlete in high school and college have propelled him into a coaching career.

Over the past three years, Coach Williams has been instrumental in our team’s continued success by serving as the Defensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator. Coach Williams has also been a leader in the development of our strength and conditioning program.





Coach Williams is a man of deep faith and a committed Christian. He and his beautiful wife, Ericka, have three children.

BIO:
YEAR: 2
Rosalyn Thorpe was named the new head girls volleyball coach in 2020.


Thorpe arrived from Fort Worth Country Day, where she led the program for the previous three seasons.
Prior to FWCD, Thorpe was head coach at Calvary Christian Academy for one season and led the Conquerors to a district championship.
Thorpe leads a program rich with young, up and coming talent as well as upperclassmen who have been through the difficult TAPPS 6A district and region.
Thorpe was also a club coach for the well known volleyball club, Integrity, for two years.
She graduated from Arlington Baptist, where she was team MVP as well as an AllAmerican.
Thorpe will also teach in the Physical Education & Health department at Nolan Catholic.

2022 VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE










DR. CHI NGUYEN
TITLE: HEAD COACH
YEARS: 7
BIO: Chi Nguyen begins his seventh season as head coach of the boys and girls tennis teams at Nolan Catholic. Nguyen was hired in 2016 as head coach of both programs and recently led the team to a TAPPS team state championship last fall.


During his time in charge the tennis program has captured four consecutive district championships dating back to 2018 and back-to-back State Team Championships.
Prior to arriving at NCHS, Nguyen was volunteer coach at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, a middle school within the Fort Worth Diocese.
Nguyen, a neurologist, received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Texas Christian University and his MD from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Nguyen and his wife, Lan, have four children, An, Ly, Chi and Duc.

PATRICK SIMEROTH
TITLE: MODERATOR YEAR: 7
BIO: Patrick Simeroth ‘01, begins his seventh year as Norse Crew Chief after being appointed in 2016. Simeroth and his crew can be seen on the sidelines during football games and other Vikings athletic events.


Simeroth, who teaches in the social studies department, graduated from St. Mary’s University in 2005 with a degree in political science. He completed his master’s degree in government from Georgetown University in 2006.
Simeroth and wife Teresa are parents of daughter Josephine and son Elliott.

TATYANA PEFFERS
TITLE: DIRECTOR
YEAR: 4
BIO: Tatyana Peffers will begin her fourth year as the director of the Royelles dance team. Under her direction, the dance team took second place at the most recent TAPPS state dance competition. She is a 2009 Nolan Catholic High School graduate where she was a four year member of the Royelles.




Peffers came to NCHS after owning her own studio for four years. She was the director of the competition team and under her direction, the dancers won multiple competitions as well as choreography awards.
She attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton and graduated, 2014, with a bachelor of arts degree in dance.

BIO: Leslie Kyle is a graduate of Nolan Catholic High School. During her years at Nolan, she was a member of the varsity cheer team for three years, serving as captain her senior year. She served as an assistant coach the summer after graduation to prepare the team for camp.
In addition to Mrs. Kyle’s cheerleading experience, she also has 15 years of dance and tumbling experience. She taught jazz, tap, and ballet classes at her youth dance studio.
Mrs. Kyle was an assistant coach for Midlothian High School, assistant drill team director at Summit High School, and the drill team director at Finley Junior High, and coached cheerleading for the Midlothian Youth Football League.
