24/25 has been a truly wonderful year in Noro House. One of our House Values is resilience and this year has taught us a lot as a wolf pack. The beginning of the year was tough, with not always achieving the results we desired, however, as a house we reflected, we supported one another and we grew stronger This would not have been possible without the teamwork amongst our Year 11 leaders who have been supported by the Vice House Captains of each year In Noro House we often talk about the strength of the house being the wolf pack, each member of our house is integral to our success. Whilst a member of Noro House students have an opportunity to try themselves across the arts, sports, academics and much more, this in turn makes our wolf pack stronger Fearlessness is our third and final value Our Year 11 leadership team breath fearlessness, whether this has been choreographing the House Commercial Dance, conducting 120 students in the House Song, script writing for the House Drama or leading by example on the athletics track during Sport Day. The highlights of 24/25 will be memories that we will cherish for years to come, they will provide us a source of strength when we need to be resilient, when we work together as a team and for those moments where we have to be brave and fearless
Wishing you a wonderful end of term break, we look forward to welcoming you back in August.

The final term of the year is now drawing to a close Term 3 stood out as one many had been eagerly anticipating, largely due to the abundance of sports events such as Sports Day, volleyball matches, and the Canons Cup Fortunately, Noro lived up to expectations by achieving great success in various sports competitions, including Sports Day.
Term 3 was packed with exciting house sports competitions that showcased Noro’s spirit and values. I’d like to thank all participants, especially for the Token Run, where every member of the house joined in. On the same day, our KS3 Elite Boys took first place in cross-country. The Year 10 girls also won the football matches, and the Year 11 boys brought home the basketball trophy. A big thank you to everyone who gave their all and competed with pride for Noro House. Your effort made this term truly memorable.
This Sports Day was yet another showcase of talent and teamwork in Noro House, while also reflecting the 3 values of Noro house: Fearlessness, Teamwork and Resilience Our Noro students competed with enthusiasm across all the different events, demonstrating their strong commitment to these values and sports. That day's highlight was our Noro spirit, participants cheered each other on, which led to numerous successes First there was Volleyball, the Key Stage 4 boys had a dominant performance on the court by coming 1st with 8 wins and 0 losses In Key Stage 3, Lily managed to set a new Year 9 record on High Jump which is a fantastic achievement. Alfie set a new Year 8 record for the 1500m, while Sean also broke the 2 Year 9 record of both 800m and 200m Julian broke the Year 9 record for the 100m, and Ryan broke the Year 8 record for both High Jump and Standing Triple Jump.
Noro House shone brightly with several recordbreaking performances. Allison Kwak’s remarkable efforts in both 200m and standing long jump set new school records, while Soyeon Ahn’s outstanding run in the 300m broke a previous record. These incredible achievements highlighted the talent and determination within the house. They were magnificent in dedication and excellence, exemplifying the spirit of Noro house. Each record broken was more than just a victory; it was a testament to the athletes’ hard work, focus, and passion for pushing boundaries. These accomplishments will inspire future generations to aim higher and redefine success.
In N7A this year, we demonstrated our values of the Noro house. Which are resilience, fearlessness, and teamwork Our tutor group discussed some upcoming activities and the role we will play in the house competitions We have been participating in many house competitions and though we have faced many challenges, we never gave up We may have had difficulties and not achieved 1st place, but we have done our best and had some fun, and that is what we think is really important. We always work as a team We listen to our teammates and try to make everyone have fun in the competitions. We might have had some complaints in some competitions, but we still participated and tried to have as much fun as possible The whole year has been long and tiring, but our spirit of being a part of Noro house is going to be the same even after years. Let’s go NORO!
N7B, as a whole, thinks that the board proudly placed in our classroom contributed immensely for our first step as a united tutor group, going through a new journey in senior school. While we created the board that highlighted what we were going to do in Year 7 and who we are, we could work as a team
Drone Dash is one of the many strengths of Noro; it requires every member to embody our house values: Teamwork, Resilience, and Fearlessness. Experiencing drone dash was a great step for our tutor group to start experimenting with these values; as it would improve our quality of teamwork, and build resilience and fearlessness along the way
Canons cup and sports day was one of the best activities throughout the year that displayed Noro’s values, with everyone showcasing their own passion while still proudly representing Noro and our house values. Canons cup and sports day was not just about winning, but about our contribution to a community as a whole Other than the few activities we talked about, N7B could really immerse in various events with great house spirit, a sense of teamwork, fearlessness, and resilience As we walked through the journey of our first year in senior school, we experienced, learnt, and enjoyed so much at the same time

Leading the Noro House Art for this year ' s KS4 mural was an incredibly meaningful experience, especially as it was the final house competition of the year. I was truly honored to lead our team through this house mural competition.
Our mural, "Shadows & Luminescence," is a mural constituted with a luminous wolf, a moon, and a human figure My vision for this composition was to symbolize the essence of Team Noro: the luminous wolf, representing our collective strength, leaps from the moon, radiating a guiding light A human figure, initially in darkness and representing an individual team member, shares a moment of communion by touching the wolf's nose, thereby receiving its illumination. This light powerfully symbolizes the team's collective strength and guidance, empowering each individual to be fearless in the face of challenges In short, the artwork conveys a strong message of unity, showcasing how our team's spirit propels its members forward.
I'm grateful for the dedication and effort from all participating members (Hyunjoon Philip Im, Dahye Lim, Woojin Jang, Boyoon Choi, Seoyun Jung, Erin Kim, Sean Lee and Jason Park) that contributed to this wonderful piece. A special thank you goes to Dahye for her great assistance. Having participated in every house art mural for years, I've seen firsthand how we ' ve grown and improved with each project. It's been an honor to contribute to this wonderful group of people over the years. When Noro calls, we will come back in Sixth Form! Thank you Noro.
Sincerely,
Chloe Park

As a collective, team, and house, N8A had a remarkable year, embracing Noro’s values: Fearlessness, Resilience, and Teamwork
Every member showed great determination and drive, leading others while growing their own skills and social awareness For example, house dance participants gave up lunch and break times, leading to a 1st place finish Through this, they learned to prioritise the house and compromise for a shared goal Members also showed sportsmanship winning with positivity and losing with grace In competitions like public speaking, treasure hunts, and cross country, N8A truly embodied the wolf pack spirit What once seemed impossible was made possible through fearless teamwork Our achievements went beyond points through collaboration and passion, we gained lessons rooted in Noro’s values. Overall, we see this year as a success in both results and growth.
During house competitions, it was very remarkable to see that not a single person in N8B blamed others when someone did something wrong. Also, many students were willing to challenge themselves in unpopular and relatively difficult events. Furthermore, even when the results showed that it was very difficult to win the week’s house competition, everyone didn’t give up and gave their best. We are proud to say that N8B was the model tutor group, not only for embodying Noro’s valuesteamwork, resilience, and fearlessness - but also for all of the tutor groups in NLCS Jeju.
It has been a very dynamic and exciting year for N8B. Every morning, everyone laughed about something, and played happily with each other. Our tutor class was a place where laughter never ceased and where happiness dwelled all the time. It is undoubtedly sure that no other tutor group would have spent a joyous morning like us

He was always on top of the schedule, reminding everyone of important events and dates and encouraging everyone to participate. His dedication, charisma, and sense of humor are superb, and he has been such an asset to Noro House and a great role model for other Noro House members to look up to I hope he continues to be a leader and spread the Noro House spirit wherever he goes and continues to be a kind, positive, and fun person

She has been a tremendous addition to both Noro House and our tutor group this year With her strong, independent personality, she quickly stood out as a confident and mature presence among her peers She’s a fantastic team player, always ready to contribute and support others with positivity and enthusiasm. It’s hard to believe she only joined the school this year she carries herself with the presence and influence of someone who’s been here from the beginning. Her behavior, attitude, and the energy she brings continue to impress me. Thank you, Stella, for an amazing year!

We present this award with our heartfelt appreciation for his outstanding contributions
Ms Kim - N11A Tutor
Now as our House Captain, I’ve seen how Minjae has faced challenges and pushed through the stress with determination He used to stay behind the scenes, often unnoticed, and now he stands confidently at the front, leading others. Of course he struggled then he strived. He’s come to realise that he doesn’t have to be perfect, but I hope he continues to live out the Noro House values by example It’s been a real pleasure to witness his growth and maturity. I hope he continues to embody our house spirit and lead the pack fearlessly towards first place next year.
Jisoo Park has shown outstanding dedication to Noro House through his consistent participation and effort in house activities and competitions over the years His commitment, particularly in the 1500m and cross country, has been greatly valued. We wish him all the best as he embarks on his next adventure
Mr Narvaez - N11B Tutor
Our tutor group has had many memorable moments this year, but our favorite is the little football hockey game we played in our tutor room. Everyone participated and had a great time, demonstrating excellent teamwork and enthusiasm Sports Day was another highlight for us; it was a great success not only because of the outcomes but also because of the way we helped and encouraged one another during the competition
These encounters exemplify Noro House's basic principles of teamwork, resilience, and fearlessness. We always came together as a group, becoming closer and stronger, whether it was for a friendly game during tutor time or a competitive house event. We are proud of everything we have accomplished this amazing year.
Throughout the academic year, we united as one team, one house, and one family. We were the Noro pack, always ready to rise again higher and reach the top. In every house competition, we had resilience as our foundation, teamwork as our strength, and fearlessness as our firm guide. We were more than just a house, but a family.
One memorable moment of this academic year was the Sports Day. Despite the immense pressure at first, we overcame with resilience and showed fearless performance proudly under the values of Noro house. As members of Noro, we have learned that true power does not come from standing alone, but in standing together Through resilience, we overcome. Through teamwork, we amalgamate Through fearlessness, we challenge. Our tutor group will continue to honour these crucial house values today, tomorrow, and always
The strength of the pack is the wolf. The strength of the wolf is the pack. Together, we will be resilient. Together, we will be fearless. Together, we will be unstoppable.

One of the most memorable moments we shared as a tutor group was during the house competition this year We kicked things off by leading the house chant, and the energy we brought was unforgettable Everyone was cheering, and it felt amazing to represent our house with so much spirit. Then came the egg race somehow we managed to stay balanced and fast, and we ended up winning! We are still curious when we are going to get our ice creams That win really brought us together and gave us a great end to the week.
Before the christmas break, our Christmas video was another highlight. Filming it was chaotic but hilarious, and it showed how creative and fun our group can be. We also crushed the quiz competition, proving we’re not just loud, but we’re smart too During the picture drawing game, we couldn’t stop laughing at each other’s artistic “skills,” and it was one of those simple moments that brought everyone closer And who could forget when Mr V completely forgot about the endof-term assembly? We were all waiting and confused it was so unexpected. To end it all off, we took part in the football house competition, showing great teamwork and enthusiasm. All these moments made our tutor group unforgettable

As the year draws to a close, our Noro tutor group looks back with pride, laughter, and a deep sense of connection. From the very first morning registrations to evening House singing events, we ’ ve supported each other through every challenge and celebrated every win big or small
Whether it was cheering each other on during Sports Day, getting creative while preparing our Summer fete stalls, the Noro spirit never wavered. Many of us took on leadership roles, embraced new responsibilities, and grew not just as students, but as a community.
These will be my final words as a House Captain of Noro Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for supporting and giving your best, even behind the scenes Even though we weren’t perfect leaders, we tried our best to lead the house as successfully as possible, and thank you again for making this year incredible and unforgettable
It was a great honor to serve as the House Captain of the best house, filled with great people and memories Being part of Noro House for the last five years has been one of the most memorable parts of my life, from running around the Maths department for Mathletics to diving into the pool and dribbling a football across the Astro.
In particular, I was amazed by how everyone gave their full effort, especially during Sports Day, and by the number of people who stepped up to do things they didn’t want to do Even though we couldn’t achieve what we wanted till the end, I truly believe this was one of the best years I’ve experienced as a member of a proud Noro wolf pack
Lastly, I want to wish you all the best for next year Good luck and thank you!
-Chloe Kim-
Always at the end of term, I would write a short paragraph or two in our newsletter – now, I cannot believe this will be my last one. As I repeat every time, this term has been a great one. We have done fantastically on Sports Day, but let’s not forget all the achievements we had throughout the term. And beyond what we achieved, take some time to remember each and every moment of memory that we will cherish together in the future. Sometimes we were victorious, and sometimes we weren’t. But at the end of each day, we always had a smile on our faces – and I know this is what counts
Since this is my very last message to Noro House, I want to talk a little about what Noro means for me and all of you. For me, our house was more than a community linked by a single identity. It was the place of challenge and growth, somewhere that would push me to be a better leader and a better person. It was the place of my personal highlights, with some photos and videos I will have plenty of laughter with in the future. It was the place of my never-ending journey, and now I feel like a kid who has to step away from their parents. Noro House always had a special place in my heart and in my adventure
Now, ask yourself: what does Noro House mean to you? For some, it might be a place you don’t like to be in. For a few, it can even be where you just feel like wasting time. But I know, for others, our house can have a special place in your heart. It’s ok if you are not that kind of person yet – unlike us, you still have time.
Sometimes, I hear Noro students mutter about why they have to do this and that. Well, I don’t have an answer for you. My last message for you is to find your own reason. Try to figure out what our house means to you, not anyone else. Then, you will smile just like I did in the future
After all, when are you ever going to be part of a house again? Not just any house, but the one with a fearless wolf on its front?
Thank you for the great year, and I hope to see you again soon.
YJ

Sean has really embodied the Noro House Spirit by putting one hundred and ten percent into everything he does. He has been on the front lines showcasing his passion week after week and he has wholeheartedly deserved this award.
Dahye epitomises everything a member of Noro House should - she is fearless, an commitmented team member and is shows resilience in everything she does. She has been a part of our House Art, House Commericial Dance and every sports event possible. Dahye leads by example and has been an outstanding role model to her peers and younger members of Noro House.
During our time in Noro, we have made so many unforgettable memories. Both in and out of school, we have been best friends to each other, and we will never forget the times in Noro even after moving up to sixth form We started out at 5th place among the houses We of course had struggles and conflicts as well. However, as time passed, what we learned was that the best and only solution to resolve problems that occur when working in a team is to collaborate and listen to each other.
Looking back, it’s amazing how far we’ve come it’s not just about where we are ranked, but it is more about how much we have grown as people. We learned how to celebrate each other’s strengths, support each other’s weaknesses, and never give up, even when things got tough We, Y11s, are truly grateful for all the moments we have spent with Noro. As we leave Noro behind and take on new challenges in sixth form, I know we’ll carry with us the spirit of teamwork, resilience, and fearlessness that Noro taught us. Thank you, Noro, for being our home.
This year, our house started the year with a challenge We were fifth in the House competition rankings, and had some conflicts among leadership groups as well as tutees However, even in these challenging situations, our proud Noro Year 11s never forgot the most crucial house value: teamwork. On an individual level, we changed our attitudes. As tutor groups, we collaborated more closely.
As a year group, we stood united to lead the house, regardless of whether we held leadership titles.
As the year progressed, we demonstrated resilience in every event, from House Chant to Sports Day and House Glee. No matter the results, we showed up, stood tall, and supported one another. Through the struggles and triumphs, we developed a more profound sense of identity as Noro students.
Above all, we were fearless Fearless in putting ourselves forward, fearless in cheering our peers on, and fearless in standing up for what was right
This year has been more than just a competition; it’s been a story of growth, strength, and unity. As proud Nororians, we carry these house values with us into the future.
Thank you for your support, guidance and encouragement throughout your time in Noro House. We hope you have a wonderful summer break and wish you all the best in your next chapter, whether that be the IBDP here at NLCS or other adventures Good luck!

Hey Noro!
This is not a goodbye because I am not going anywhere. I have had the absolute pleasure of being the Assistant Head of House for Noro for three years and never have I felt so welcomed into a community with such passion and energy as what we have made here together in Noro House. Watching all of you compete week after week, I have seen you laugh, seen you cry, and most importantly, I have seen you grow. Fearlessness. Resilience. Teamwork. (and even our old friend Enthusiasm) Our wolf pack lives and breathes these values in everything we do and I cannot wait to see you wave that purple flag again next year, ever stronger through the bonds you build together.
What do I think of Noro? Champion.
