Congratulations to this years overall Winners - Mulchat House House Competition
Another fantastic year of House Competition where students were able to showcase teamwork, school spirit, and engagement through a wide range of exciting and challenging activities.

House
As the 2024-25 year comes to an end, we just want to say a big thank you to our amazing House Captains and Leaders for all their hard work and energy this year!.

In Jeoji House, “Pride in the Pride” isn’t just our motto—it’s a way of life. Under the outstanding leadership of Aiden and Soul Park, our House has grown into a true family where every student feels seen, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves.
Aiden and Soul have led Jeoji with energy, empathy, and purpose. From organizing major events to mentoring younger students, they’ve shown what it means to lead not just with authority, but with heart. Their commitment to building a fun and inclusive environment has helped shape a House culture that brings students together across year groups, interests, and backgrounds. This year, their leadership has driven Jeoji to new heights. We proudly took home first place in House Drama and celebrated a strong second place finish in House Singing— achievements made even more meaningful because they were built on teamwork and trust.
Their leadership team has also launched powerful new initiatives like Wellbeing Wednesday and Friday Family Fun Quizzes, which have quickly become beloved House traditions. These activities have strengthened the bonds between students, creating joyful spaces where laughter, connection, and care thrive.

It has been a very mixed year for Geomun House. As Geomuners we are proud and committed competitors who are used to the taste of success. But it is safe to say that this year has challenged us in a different way, in that success and victories in the House Competition have been much more difficult to come by. We were very proud of our third successive victory in the Commercial Dance Competition, and have enjoyed further victories in Public Speaking, Mathletics, Scrabble Scramble, House quiz, Gameshow and Capture the Flag. However, we all shared the disappointment of not placing in the House Singing, having won it for the last two years - we win together and we lose together!
Transition has been our strategic focus this term, and it’s certainly a hot topic at the moment. With Year 11 leaders stepping aside and the new Geomun Leadership Committee beginning to take shape, there are many reasons to be optimistic. The new leadership group is full of energy and ideas and they have already learned so much as the House Competition Events keep on coming thick and fast. It was an absolute delight to see our Year 9 Geomun Students recognised as the most successful Year 9 students in the House Competition, they have been a real ‘power house’ for us. We also have reasons to be hopeful in the remaining competition events. Although results have not been confirmed
House
yet, we’ve had a strong Sports Day and Cannon’s Cup performance, an excellent Hype video entry (thank you Ryan!), and some House Art that is sure to pique the interest of the judges. We know the overall competition is tight, but we also know that it’s not done and dusted just yet!

I feel this year that Sarah House has made great strides in being a united House and I have not known the Sarah spirit to be so strong. This is most exemplified by the House Cross Country, which, for the first time ever, we were the Champions. This was not through Sarah
A major part of House is providing leadership opportunities wherever possible. The highlight of the year from the current Year 11 leaders has to be House Singing and Commercial Dance. This was such a collaborative experience where all of the House Leaders worked together and led the whole house, which is no small task. During the House Song preparation, they displayed great leadership, organisation and above all patience to deliver a phenomenal performance. The commercial dance was, as always, a joy to be part of the whole process from the initial ideas, through the tutor and lunch time practices to the fun filled and joyous end dance. I feel privileged to be part of these two great events which enables students the opportunities to develop and enhance their leadership qualities.

having individual excellence but a collective drive where all year groups put in a huge amount of effort with the support and encouragement of the tutors. This togetherness then carried through to Sports Day and the dedication and commitment for students simply to try their very best was utterly palpable. House Shout rang loud and proud and was led by the new Year 10 student leadership team who have taken to their roles with kindness and consideration and I strongly believe that this will have a positive impact on the House and make it an encouraging and caring place to be.
What a year it has been for Sarah House.
We will get better and better!

Noro
24/25 has been a truly wonderful year in Noro House. One of our House Values is resilience and this year has taught us a lot as a wolf pack. The beginning of the year was tough, with not always achieving the results we desired, however, as a house we reflected, we supported one another and we grew stronger. This would not have been possible without the teamwork amongst our Year 11 leaders who have been supported by the Vice House Captains of each year. In Noro House we often talk about the strength of the house being the wolf pack, each member of our house is integral to our success. Whilst a member of Noro House students have an opportunity to try themselves across the arts, sports, academics and much more, this in turn makes our wolf pack stronger. Fearlessness is our third and final value. Our Year 11 leadership team breath fearlessness, whether this has been choreographing the House Commercial Dance, conducting 120 students in the House Song, script writing for the House Drama or leading by example on the athletics track during Sport Day. The highlight of 24/25 will be memories that we will cherish for years to come, they will provide us a source of strength when we need to be resilient, when we work together as a team and for those moments where we have to be brave and fearless.

This year, the Student Council launched the Mental Health Month (MHM) initiative to raise awareness and promote empathy and support across the school community throughout May. Under the campaign “Every Mind Matters – #Here4You,” three key activities took place: the Kindness Chain, Whole School Pledge Chain, and Secret Friend Activity.
The Kindness Chain Activity was implemented to promote well-being, gratitude, and kindness within the school community. Through this initiative, students were given the opportunity to reflect on the acts of kindness they had received at school and were encouraged to share them. Each act of kindness was recorded on a strip of paper in their respective house colours and linked together to form a paper chain. This chain will be displayed near the tower or in front of the library, serving as an ongoing symbol of our collective commitment to kindness. The activity aimed to offer a visual representation of the strength and impact of kindness within the school.
In addition, on the 23rd of May, the entire school community gathered on campus to make individual pledges for mental health. Together, students and staff formed a connected
human chain around the campus, symbolising our shared commitment to supporting and promoting mental well-being.
Last but not least, the Secret Friend Activity allowed students to send thank-you notes, either anonymously or openly. More than 200 students wrote letters to teachers, peers, or even members of the cleaning staff. The activity fostered gratitude and strengthened relationships, contributing to a positive school atmosphere.
Together, these initiatives not only highlighted the importance of mental health but also reinforced the values of compassion, connection, and community that champion our social vision statement.
