Greetings all! We have enjoyed a strange Winter. The weather has been playing tricks and rabbits' coats are all over the place. The 2020 shows are off and running.

In January, we held our Northeast Specialty with the New Jersey State club. It was well attended. It was awesome to watch two different Youth Wooly exhibitors win the coveted BIS award. Cody Landis and Rachael Walkup made us proud! Rachael won with her handsome Chestnut buck from Fran Haskins. Cody took the win with his beautiful Broken Buck. Our district has some very clever Youth breeders. I really enjoy looking at their rabbits and seeing all their hard work pay off in droves. The future is in our Youth. I have included some of the pictures of their awesome wins! The huge PaSRBA shows were well attended. It was fun to visit with people from out of our area. Michelle Landis worked hard to run our specialty shows each day. We really appreciate all of her hard work. She really puts a lot of effort into our local club. PaSRBA weekend was fun. Some real quality animals were on the table. Two Woolies( a Youth and an Open) won their

Groups and went on to compete for BIS. At a show like PaSRBA, that says a lot about the quality of rabbits in our breed. I was really excited to spend time with friends and chat about pedigrees and all that fun stuff. With the National weekend quickly approaching, it is time to start really focusing on your possible entry and taking care of those coats. Some hard work now will help you reap the rewards later. This weather surely hasn't helped. Hopefully, the bunnies will all be in full bloom for our big show in April. If you have any questions about the National event, contact Steven Buell. He is the "go to guy" for this event. Today, I spent quite a bit of time in the barn. I brought out the SOP and sorted through my rabbits. It is always well worth the time to revisit the SOP. While we all may interpret it a bit differently, the SOP has the final say. It tells us what we should be trying to create. In evaluating my overall herd, I was able to make some decisions about future goals and breedings. If you notice an area of weakness in your overall herd, make plans to find an animal or two at Nationals to help you improve that trait. That's the best part about the big shows. You get to meet up with so many people with different stock. Take advantage of it and improve your herd. I sent many really good animals out to different areas of the country. It is exciting to help others. Remember, in return for your sharing of your stock, you will make valuable connections to obtain stock in the future. If we all help each other, the breed improves and we all succeed. Here's to wishing everyone a wonderful 2020. I'm hoping to see everyone at the National show. I have a feeling the turnout will be incredible. All the best, Bill
