“I
t’s not in my nature to sit back,” says Cathy Brown, RN. “I’ve had a job my whole life. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas and my masters degree in clinical nursing from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston, I started as a nurse and worked my way up to director of an Ambulatory Surgery center. That’s when I met the chief of anesthesia, Dr. Mark Brown. We got married and moved to Sugar Land. Our lives were so busy, but we were committed to helping people in pain...then I had an epiphany. I said to Mark, why don’t we open up an office here?” At Back Pain Interventions Associated, PA (BPIA), Dr. Brown is double boardcertified in both anesthesiology and pain management and has been practicing in Houston for over two decades.
