Over the past few weeks, we were learning how to sew. First of all, we made an emoji. We made it out of yellow, black and white felt. We cut our yellow felt into circles and sewed them together. Then we cut out different shapes to make the mouth and eyes. We then stuffed them. Secondly, we made stockings. We made them out of different coloured felt. We put bells and name tags on them. They are really nice.

In M.Lucy/Michelle’s Class we got very crafty and tried some sewing. Although teacher was nervous handing out 24 needles we did fantastic work So anytime anything at home needs sewing you know who to ask. We got a pencil drew on felt and then we cut it out we made two of the exact same ones. So then we could stuff them. When we stuffed them we cut a hole in the place where the neck should be and we put a lollipop stick inside we made two circles. We filled them up and then we placed in the lollipop stick then we put googly eyes for eyes made the hair with felt and drew a face. We each took turns working on the sewing project and we created a Nativity scene.

This year in school we had rugby training, this was an opportunity to find a new hobby and learn a lot of new stuff. We had lots and lots of fun. It was hard to learn at first but most of us got the hang of it by the 2nd or 3rd week. I think this was a great thing to do because it was exercise, learning and having fun and it was great for people who hadn’t ever played rugby to see what the sport was like. We all had lots of fun in rugby training.
