We were learning about satellites and how they help us in our daily lives. They help us to send messages, use GPS and inform us about the weather. We did a close test and a sequencing activity and most of all we enjoyed colouring the details on the satellites. The experiment was when we shone a torch at a mirror and we could see it reflected back onto the page the way a satellite would send messages in real life. This was for Science Week and we learned about space also during Space Week.

We did lots of art this month. We did Christmas snowflakes. First, we made six little snowflakes and stapled them together. We also made Clay pots using the coil method. This was how they were made during the Tigris times. Finally, we made snow globes using black paper, a circle of white paper and chalk.

We made Christmas cards in school this month for the people at Midleton hospital. On the cards we drew pictures and coloured them in. We really tried our best and tried to make the cards very colourful. Then we wrote a Christmas message in the cards. We hope that our cards make the people in the hospital happy. We also took pictures with our cards in school. We want all of the patients in Midleton hospital to have a holly, jolly Christmas and a Happy New Year. We also hope that Santa visits them! sleep!
