LOBBY DAY: April 26th!

We invite you all to join fellow APTA New York Members on Wednesday, April 26 for a chance to make a difference in the profession!

Lobby Day gives members the opportunity to gather together in Albany to visit state senators and assembly members in their offices, in order to explain the importance of legislation impacting the physical therapy profession. For first time Lobby Day individuals, there are many seasoned members who are happy to introduce you to the process. Just ask how we can connect you with a mentor!

ADVOCACY WORKS! With your help, the non-opioid legislation that we supported last year was passed by both houses of the legislature and signed into law by the Governor. Physicians now must consider non-opioid alternative treatments for patients experiencing pain, including physical therapy, before prescribing an opioid for pain relief.
