Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Morning

• Admission to the building begins at 8:00 a.m., at which time, senior students must proceed to the Cafeteria until 8:30 a.m.

• Paul Coffee Park loop is recommended for drop off and pick up

Afternoons

• Bus students will be dismissed at 3:20 p.m.

• Students will be dismissed at 3:25 p.m. from their classes for a 5minute transition to their lockers.

• The school day ends at 3:30p.m., buses depart at 3:30pm sharp

• Students are to be picked up at this time if they are not remaining at school for a supervised extra-curricular activity.

Arrival between 8:30a.m. - 8:50a.m. – Coffee on the Court

 Prefects and Student Ambassadors will give out timetables, show students to the gym

Golf Shirt + Kilt & Knee Socks or Pants + Black shoes

Winter Uniform:

White Shirt & Tie + Something Blue + Kilt & Knee Socks or Pants + Black Shoes

#1 Uniform:

White Shirt & Tie + Blazer (vest/sweater optional) + Kilt & Knee Socks or Pants + Black Shoes

Grades 9-12:

All students 9-12 require a pair of black shoes. Black running shoes are permitted as long as they are completely black from shoelace to sole.

Additional Details

• Textbooks:

• Senior students purchase their textbooks directly from Alpha Textbooks (alphatextbooks.com)

• Check for “optional” workbooks as listed - these are not required

• Textbooks are required by the second week of school

• E-books are acceptable – ask the class teacher what is preferred

• School Supplies:

• Seniors should have two large binders, writing utensils, dividers, paper

• A Scientific calculator and laptop is required

• Locks are required for lockers

• AP program

• Begin choosing AP Courses in grade 11 & 12

• Curriculum and a series of exams set and marked by the AP College Board in the USA

• Designed to be the equivalent of first-year university courses

• Designed for exceptional students willing to accelerate their regular high school program

• Most popular exams: Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Literature

Global Learning Program

Promoting educational excellence, leadership skills, cultural exploration, and global citizenship

• Camp Pinecrest:

• Students in grade 9

• September 18-20 in Muskoka

• Three-day experience to explore & discover through experiential learning

• Expand leadership potential & provide opportunities to bond with class cohort

• New York:

• Any student from grade 9-12

• Immersive and experiential in the heart of Manhattan

• March 6-10, 2025

• Machu Picchu:

• Any student from grade 9-12

• Cultural experience with a service aspect, archaeological site visits
