Attendees know they will find a full range of powerboats and sailboats (monohull and multihull) all together at the Newport International Boat Show, and with over hundreds of boats on display, they expect to find virtually every manufacturer represented. In addition, there is an extensive variety of marine equipment, services and accessories to round out their boat show experience. For easy navigation, the show takes place on five adjacent sites that include the Newport Yachting Center, Oldport Marine, Newport’s famed Bannister’s and Bowen’s Wharves and Market Square. Being the first major show of the fall boat show season, foreign and domestic manufacturers have made the Newport International Boat Show the place to launch their new boats and boating products. Together with Cruising World, Sailing World and Yachting magazines, Newport For New Products (NFNP) recognizes and awards boats in various size divisions as well as products used for boat operation, maintenance and safety, personal weather gear (wearable) and technology (includes navigation and electronics). NFNP accepted entries are featured in a special insert in all three national magazines prior to the boat show, promoted during the show with NFNP burgees and decals, on-site award activities and within the Show Directory, and maintain a website presence all-year long. Awards are given for Best New Powerboat, Best New Sailboat, Best New Multihull, Best New Product used for Boat Operation, Maintenance or Safety and Best New Product for Technology. The NFNP program also includes a “Green” and an “Accessibility” category as an additional award if the criteria is met.
