New Craftsman Gallery
St Ives, United Kingdom
Regarded as one of the most important spaces for contemporary artists in St Ives, New Craftsman has an international reputation amongst discerning art and craft collectors for its painting, sculpture and quality studio ceramics. Having nurtured the reputations of key St Ives School artists such as Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Bryan Winter, Patrick Heron and Peter Lanyon, the gallery continues to exhibit original work by emerging Cornish artists and is the St Ives town centre stockists for Leach Pottery’s new tableware range.
Recently refurbished to reveal a bright, dynamic space, the downstairs gallery houses an ever changing mix of contemporary painting and craft across the disciplines while the dedicated first floor exhibition space shows a year round programme of exhibitions by established and up and coming painters and craftspeople.
