ALICE FREEMAN 17 OC TOB ER – 13 NOV EMB ER 2026

intriguing balance of fragility and strength, permanence and change, darkness and light, in delicate prints and hand-built forms which have the solidity of geological artifacts pulled from the earth. These works are not accurate depictions of things seen and felt; instead, they echo and emphasise the essential structures of the natural world. Alice was born in St Ives in 1991. She studied at Byam Shaw School of Art and graduated with a degree in Drawing and Fine Art from Camberwell College of Art in 2013. That same year she was awarded a scholarship to work on the ‘Above and Below Ground Project’ in Siena, Italy, and in 2016 she became a Selected Member of the RWA and of Spike Island Print Studios in Bristol. In 2022 Alice was awarded membership of the Royal Society of Sculptors. She exhibits throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.
