RELAX

After a lovely warm welcome by Tove and Nicola at Ocean Zen, I was taken into the treatment room for a crystal facial with reiki chakra balance. It felt so cosy and relaxing so that when Nicola explained what she was going to do so I was completely at ease, It’s been a hectic week so it was nice just to lie down and chill.

The treatment began with a deeply relaxing facial massage using crystals to stimulate the acupressure points and then crystals where also placed all over my body.

When the crystals where placed some felt hot and others cold - Nicola explained that crystals are believed to hold and radiate energy. When you use a crystal, you are transferring your own energy into the stone, this energy transfers a temporary heat sensation in the stone. I tend to hold a lot of anxiety in my stomach, Nicola said she was drawn to that area so she altered the crystals to where they were needed. I’m unsure how long I was lying there the time just seemed to drift away.

I laughed when I opened my eyes to see how many crystals were on me, I really hadn’t felt them. I left feeling incredibly calm and positive, all the negative thoughts I had earlier had simply drifted away.

Ocean Zen is definitely the place to go to chase away your cares and worries using holistic treatments. The girls also run a lot of community projects, events, festivals, retreats and meditation. I have my eye on the next moon ceremony! they even have parent and child zen classes, that’s a fabulous idea right?
