SCHEDULE
Abuse Hurts Champion of the Month
Everyone loves Mary Georgopoulos and her smile – she is a true example of an individual worthy of being an Abuse Hurts Hero of the Month! A loyal individual, Mary has been engaged in many local fundraisers and charity events where she gives so much of her time in order to ensure every event is successful.

Mary has connected Abuse Hurts with many wonderful people and businesses and we are only one of the many charities and cultural entities that she supports. She held her first fundraiser for Abuse Hurts many years ago at Jonathan’s Restaurant in Aurora and has been a great friend to the charity ever since. She was instrumental in getting the Hope Boutique pop-up thrift store running in Aurora – starting with a stellar opening night that saw hundreds of guests come to enjoy refreshments and purchase beautiful, gently used clothing and accessories.
Mary is also on the Abuse Hurts fundraising committee and added her experience and elegant flair to Abuse Hurts’ amazing Spring Fashion show event in June. She shows such community dedication in all aspects whether it be Cultural, Charity or Sports. Mary’s continuous service and dedication is extremely admirable and what makes this fact even more special is how humble she is. Mary’s countless achievements and give-back nature really shines through - so bright that she was selected as the Town of Aurora – 2016 Citizen of the Year as well as the 2009 Aurora Chamber - Business Person of the Year. Thank you, Mary!
