On June 22nd, Aurora Town Square legacy donors were recognized and celebrated at special event hosted in their honour at Aurora Public Library. At the event, new donors Charlieville Developments Ltd. and Shining Hill Group of Companies were announced, joining Town Square’s donors Addison Hall Business Park, Fieldgate Homes, Paradise Developments, TACC Developments, and Treasure Hill. On July 5th, local MPP Michael Parsa joined staff from the Aurora Cultural Centre at Chartwell Park Place Retirement Residence to hear about the difference that has been made with a $64,300 Resilient Communities Fund grant awarded last year by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). This funding allowed for the purchase of a mobile audio/video hub to livestream concerts programmed by the Centre. The hub, operational since 2022, has created wider access to live music and events to communities beyond the concert hall, reaching those who may not be able to attend these events in person.
