Vince's Market hosted their Community BBQ at their Sharon location, on June 23rd. Community members could stop by to get a free hotdog and drink, and donate to Community & Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS). CHATS is Vince's selected community organization benefiting from their 2023 Community Product Initiative (CPI). Through the generosity of our community $500 was donated during the BBQ, and since the beginning of the year, Vince’s has raised $16,600 for CHATS through the CPI. 10th

Neighbour Media was honoured to celebrate an incredible neighbour in our community Peter Miller. On July 19th, Peter celebrated 50 years of being a proud McDonalds Operator. Today Peter is the largest operator in Canada, owning 17 restaurants primarily located in Aurora, Newmarket, King and Richmond Hill. Peter is an individual that quietly gives back to our community in so many ways, sponsoring sports teams and donating to local charities. You will regularly find him in his restaurants greeting guests and speaking with his crew members, and if you have ever met him you will agree he really is a #goodneighbour

EG’s tastiest event, Tapestry of Taste, is back on Friday, August 11 from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Civic Centre (19,000 Leslie Street). Save the dates and join us for the ultimate event that connects our community through food, arts, and culture. Whether you’re a foodie, music fan, or looking for a fun way to spend your weekend close to home, this event has a little something for you, your family, and neighbours to enjoy.

Tapestry of Taste is entering its third year in EG, and I’m pleased to share that admission for this year’s event is free. Guests can enjoy an entertainment zone with live performances from the Samba Squad, Glenn Marais, and Landing 73 featuring former Glass Tiger member Michael Hanson. In addition to great live performances, you’ll enjoy a food and beverage zone featuring delicious food and drinks, a kid’s zone with activities and strolling entertainers, and a vendor market where you can shop for unique pieces.
