Juliane Goyette Neighbour Cover Contest Winner

Please meet this month’s cover feature and the winner of our April Cover Contest, Juliane Goyette. Juliane is a longtime resident, business owner and community member of Newmarket. Working with the family investment business since the age of 12, she is an independent Financial Advisor and owner of Riverwalk Wealth. She is as enthusiastic about her business and her clients, as she is about this community that she loves calling home, along with her husband and two children.

Juliane is passionate about giving back and supporting local. Whether it’s a charity, a sports team, live music or a business, she can be seen around town spreading cheer and positivity. She is the Dean of Awesome for the Newmarket Awesome Foundation and enjoys volunteering as Treasurer for the Newmarket Food Pantry. Volunteering for the Food Pantry has opened her eyes to the need in our community and allowed her to experience how generous the residents of Newmarket truly are! Newmarket and the people of Newmarket really are the HEART of York Region.

In 2020 she received the Portraits of Giving Award for Newmarket and was recently honoured with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin for her leadership and compassion for the people of Newmarket-Aurora. Juliane truly believes that the smallest act of giving can sometimes have the greatest impact. Start small, donate to a food bank, give clothes to a shelter, give your time to a charity and help your neighbours. You never know what a small act of kindness can do for someone that needs it in that moment.
