LI Builders Expo This year’s Long Island Builder’s Institute Builders Expo will truly be a home show. The show, the only expo on Long Island that attracts the pros, this year will feature some of Long Island’s biggest homebuilders who will exhibit their newest projects – both for sale and rentals. The show takes place March 26th, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Hilton Long Island, 598 Broadhollow Rd., Melville. Sponsored by the Islandia-based Long Island Builders Institute’s (LIBI), the show is open to the public and the trade. Admission is free to the show and for five public seminars. This year marks the show’s 24th year. A seminar on energy efficiency envelopes for building and real estate industry professionals offering CEU credits is

limited to the trade and will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of this seminar is $40, which includes lunch. “This year’s expo is designed to introduce residents of Long Island to our local homebuilding and contracting community in a manner that will strengthen confidence in working relationships and in knowing the best contractors on Long Island are the ones who are on the job,” said Lois, Fricke, director of operations at LIBI, the region’s homebuilders trade group. Among the developers offering the public a first chance to see their new projects are Avalon Bay Communities, which has apartment communities under development is several Long Island communities; Engel Burman Group, which

is planning a 55-plus community in Seaford and new assisted living facilities in Lake Grove and Farmingville; and Tritec Real Estate Co., which is constructing the New Village at Patchogue luxury apartments as well as projects in Port Jefferson and the Ronkonkoma Hub. Also among the hundred participating exhibitors are contractors for any kind of project, kitchen and bath suppliers, building material suppliers offering green products, flooring dealers, landscapers, security device suppliers, appliance dealers and interior designers. A multitude of real estate and related service professionals also will be on hand to offer advice. They include residential brokers, bankers, mortgage bankers and
