WOW! Giving Day 2020 set a new high SMALLEST GIFT: for donors and dollars for Notre Dame Elementary School and Notre DameCathedral Latin School. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends of Notre Dame Schools, new LED lighting enhances classrooms, offices, gymnasiums and hallways on campus. Some installation was done over Christmas and the project will be completed this summer.

Marguerite (Jost `47) Hrabak and her family span four generations at Notre Dame Schools, from Ansel Road in Cleveland to children at Notre Dame Academy in Chardon, to grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Notre Dame Elementary School. This lifetime of education and love for this campus radiates from her warm personality as she reflects on what Catholic education and Notre Dame means to her.
Marguerite gave a Qualified Charitable Deduction through her IRA on Notre Dame Schools’ Giving Day on November 19th. “A simple process—very easy for anyone to do,” she says. She feels blessed to do this for her school. “I was so glad when Notre Dame Academy and Cathedral Latin came together all those years ago,” she says. “The strengths of each school complement each other so well. The Giving Day success demonstrates that Notre Dame Schools is alive and well and so many others believe in it just like I do.”

“Our family tradition is at Notre Dame.”
“I met my husband because of my Catholic education,” she says. “At Fenn College, there were 700 men coming back from the war and 2 girls. We sat alphabetically and since there were no “I”s in the class, Hrabak sat next to Jost and I helped him as he struggled with his studies since I was proficient from my Notre Dame Academy education. Two years later we were married!”
